얼마 전에 애플 워치 유리의 모서리 부분이 깨진 것을 알게 되었습니다.
항상 그렇듯이 이런 일은 애플케어가 끝나고 나면 발생하거나 알게되지요. 혹시나 하고 찾아보니 체이스 카드로 구입을 하였더군요.
애플 케어가 끝나고 아직 1년이 되지 않은 시점이라 편하게 Card Benefit Service 를 통해 수리비를 청구하였습니다.
3주 정도 후에 받은 답은 Declined.....
약관을 잘 보니 체이스 카드는 Original Manufature's Warranty 에 1년을 더 연장해주는 것이더군요.....
전자제품은 항상 Amex로 구입을 했었는데, 왜 이때는 Chase를 사용했었는지.....

If the item is also covered by a purchased service contract, the Extended Warranty Period begins at the end of the purchased service contract and extends the original manufacturer’s warranty for a period of time equal to the warranty, up to one (1) additional year.
Chase는 리저브도 마찬가지로 Original Manufacture's Warranty + 1년입니다.
