Amex Benefit중 자동차 purchase benefit 어떤가요? (Amex Auto Purchasing Program)

안녕하세요,

 

새 자동차 구입을 계획하던중에 Amex plat 카드 benefit 중에 보니 Auto Purchasing Program 이라는 다음과 같은 benefit이 있어서 들어가 봤어요.

 

 

The American Express Auto Purchasing Program lets Card Members connect with over 10,000 American Express accepting dealers. All participating Certified Dealers on the site accept the American Express Card for at least $2,000 and up to the full purchase price. Individuals that used the site to request a Guaranteed Savings‡ Certificate in 2016 saw an average savings of $3,272 off MSRP.2 Customize your preferred vehicle, see a listing of participating Certified Dealers in your area, and purchase your car today!‡

How it Works

  1. Visit amexnetwork.com/auto
  2. Enter a vehicle make, vehicle model, and your zip code in the "Find a New Car" section or enter a zip code in the "Find a Used Car" section
  3. Customize your vehicle
  4. Enter your contact information to see upfront pricing information and Guaranteed Savings from participating Certified Dealers in your area.
  5. Each of these participating Certified Dealers will provide a Guaranteed Savings Certificate on your configured vehicle, as well as on in-stock vehicles that match or closely match your preferences. This provides you a Guaranteed Savings amount off MSRP on the selected vehicle that will be honored by the participating Certified Dealer.
  6. The participating Certified Dealers will contact you with further information and to set up an appointment.
  7. Take your Guaranteed Savings Certificate to the participating Certified Dealer of your choice and purchase your vehicle! Use your American Express card for up to the acceptance level indicated by the dealer.

Good to Know

Each participating Certified Dealer in the American Express Auto Purchasing Program will accept the American Express Card for at least $2,000 and up to the full purchase price. Please note your ability to use your American Express Card to pay all or some of purchase price is subject to the amount of credit available on your American Express Card.

 

들어가서 보니 truecar 과 연동되어서 차를 찾아주고, 

관심있는 차 (glc-300)를 찾아보니 discount price는 대략 msrp 의 7% 정도 낮은 수준으로 표시가 돼네요.

 

이 benefit의 핵심은 2,000불 이상 AMEX 카드를 사용해서 down pay를 할 수 있게 해준다 정도인것 같은데요

benefit을 사용하지 않고 그냥 deal을 해도 discount price보다는 좀더 aggresive하게 deal이 가능 할 것 같은데, target 가격을 이 프로그램이 주는 가격보다 더 낮게 잡고 deal을 해보는게 바람직한(?) approach 이겠지요?

milemoa에 검색해보니 Amex auto purchasing program에 관한 글이 없어서 어떤 program인지 궁금해서 여쭤봅니다. ^^;
