[Invitation] The Inaugural International Film Festival on Comfort Women
The International Film Festival on Comfort Women is co-hosted by Washington Coalitian for Comfort Women Issues, Inc. and School of Communications at Amercian University.
Nine international films highlight the history and trauma of the "Comfort Women" -- a euphemism for victims of wartime sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese military during World War II. Four directors -- Lee Seung-hyun, Kim Hyun-seok (pending) from Korea, Tiffany Hsiung from Canada, and Ruby Challenger from Australia -- are expected to participate and discuss their works.
