14일 부터 성수기/비성수기 차트가 적용되었습니다. 역시나 우려대로 여기저기 난장판?이네요 ㅠㅠ
아래 14일 이후 달라진 점들 몇가지 정리했습니다. 새로 발견한 점들 댓글로 알려주세요.
1. Peak 적용 되는 Cat 5 호텔은 35k대신 40k를 요구하기 때문에 카드에서 받는 35k 숙박권은 이제 정말 더 쓰기가 어려워졌어요
2. 반면에 off peak 적용 되는 Cat 7 호텔은 60k 대신 50k로 낮아져서 리츠칼튼이나 브릴리언트카드로 받는 50k 숙박권이 사용 가능해졌습니다
3. 그리고 몇몇 호텔들이 은근슬쩍 두리뭉실 호텔 카테고리를 올렸다고 하는데 어디어디인지.. 낮아진곳도 있는지 .. 조금 더 DP가 필요하겠습니다. 댓글로 알려주세요
4. 이미 매리엇에서 발표한대로 성수기/비성수기 rate은 monthly 바뀐다고 합니다.
onemileatatime에서도 이게 단순히 성수기/비성수기 rate도입문제가 아니라 매리엇의 다이내믹 차트 도입으로 보고 있네요.
Marriott’s new pricing isn’t really peak or off-peak pricing, but rather it’s full-on dynamic award pricing. Marriott notes that:
Pricing may vary by day of week
Award rates will be updated monthly to reflect market conditions
5. 이미 걸어놓은 포인트 숙박 예약들은 매달 다시 확인해보세요.
Off Peak rate이 적용 되었을 경우, 자동으로 조정 되지 않습니다. 직접 예약 취소하시고 다시 예약하셔야합니다. 물론 올라간 경우에는 그냥 놔두셔야겠죠

You’ll continue to receive your annual Free Night Award from your Marriott Bonvoy™ Credit Card.
For bookings made once the new award chart goes into effect, new redemption rates may apply.
Redeem your Free Night Award
After your Card account anniversary, your Free Night Award will arrive as an e-certificate that can be viewed on the Activity page within your member account. Free Night Award e-certificates can be used instead of points to reserve a room. Plus, you can use points to add more nights to your award stay when making a reservation. Certain hotels have resort fees.1-4
How to redeem

1Your Free Night Award is given to you in the form of an e-certificate. You can view your e-certificate(s) in the Activity page within your Marriott Bonvoy member account.

2To use a Free Night Award e-certificate, select "Use Points" in the search form, pick your desired hotel and then choose a standard room.

3In the Reservation Details step, you will see an option to use your
e-certificate(s). If you have multiple certificates and do not wish to use all of them, you may deselect some, and the balance of points you will pay for the reservation will go up to make up the difference. -
NOTE: You must book one room at a time to use your Free Night Award e-certificate(s), and in certain instances we will need you to call in order to use your e-certificate(s). If this is the case, you will see a message.

Peak & Off Peak Pricing
9/14/19 부터 아래 챠트가 적용 되며 한달에 한번씩 성수기 / 비 성수기 날짜를 균일한 비율로 변경한다고 합니다.
일단 9/14 이후에 실제 어디가 어떻게 바뀌는지 직접 봐야 감을 좀 잡을거 같네요.
*기존 스탠다드 rate으로 걸어놓은 예약이 9/14 이후 off peak로 내려간 경우에는
예약이 자동으로 변경되지 않는다고 하고 off peak 가격대로 조정을 받으려면 기존예약 취소 후 새로 예약을 다시 해야합니다.
Peak and off peak pricing will be determined by a computer algorithm and properties won’t be able to affect this. Dates will be recalculated once per month, with Marriott ensuring there is an almost equal amount of peak and off peak dates – although most dates will fall under the standard pricing. Existing reservations won’t automatically reprice, meaning you’ll need to cancel and rebook if a property changes in price for your specific dates.
The award chart will be as follows:
Fifth Night Free Change
단순히 프로그램 이름 변경입니다. Fifth night free -> stay for 5, pay for 4
Fifth night free will be renamed to stay for 5, pay for 4 and your cheapest night will be refunded.
Points Advance Change
포인트 어드밴스를 이용하여 off peak나 standard rate으로 방을 잡아 놓았는데 숙박일에는 그 rate 더 높아졌을 경우, 차액을 더 지급해야 합니다.
When using points advance you’ll effectively be able to hold a room, but you can’t hold the price you receive. So if you use points advance when a property is off peak and then it becomes standard or peak you’ll be required to pay the higher price.
Cash & Points Change
There will be a new cash & points award chart as well.
