The New York Times: Eligible purchases for the New York Times include any subscriptions (including digital or print news, NYT Cooking, and New York Times Games) made directly through www.nytimes.com. Please allow 6-8 weeks after an eligible purchase is charged to your Card Account for statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account. Please call the number on the back of the Card if statement credits have not posted after 8 weeks from the date of purchase. American Express relies on the merchant to process transactions within the same calendar month that you made the purchase in order to apply the $20 monthly statement credit in the month that it was intended. For example, if you make an eligible purchase on the last day of the month, but the merchant doesn't process that transaction until the next day, then the statement credit would be applied in the following month. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as eligible for the benefit, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not be eligible if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party (such as an app store) or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. To be eligible for this benefit, Card Account(s) must not be canceled and not past due at the time of statement credit fulfillment. If a charge for an eligible purchase is included in a Pay Over Time balance on your Card Account, the statement credit associated with that charge may not be applied to that Pay Over Time balance. 이번 호텔 크레딧 200불은 항공 크레딧과 유사하게 년 단위로 적용됩니다. 안썼다고 다음해로 넘어가는 것도 아니고요. 문제는 호텔 크레딧이라고 하지만 FHR과 호텔 콜렉션 (HC) 에만 적용 가능합니다.
이걸 적용받기 위해서는 아멕스 여행 싸이트, 아멕스 앱, 플래티넘 카드 뒷면의 번호로 전화를 해서 "프리페이드" 옵션으로 예약하는 경우에만 적용됩니다. 추가로 FHR 은 1박부터, HC 는 2박 부터 예약 가능하고요.
재미난 것은 예약을 12월 31일 밤 11시 59분까지 해야 한다는 것을 봐서는 다음해 예약을 할 경우에도 적용될 것으로 보입니다. 물론 200불은 호텔 숙박 이후에 들어올 가능성이 있지만요. 잘 이용하면, 카드당 2박까지 가능할 것으로 보입니다.
참고로 FHR/HC 혜택은 다음과 같습니다. 방이 있을 경우 룸업그레이드, 2명 조식 무료, 4시 체크아웃, 방이 있을 경우 정오 체크인, 무선 인터넷, SPA/음식에 사용가능한 크레딧 최소 100불 이상 입니다. 아멕스 FHR 혜택 외에도 호텔 등급이 있을 경우, 포인트 적립 & 등급 혜택을 받을 수 있다고 합니다. 이에 대한 부분은 좀 더 사례가 필요하지만요.
추가로 호텔 검색시 왼쪽에 보면 FHR/HC 만 보이게 하는 옵션이 있으니 확인해 보세요. 포틀랜드 지역은 Nines, Duniway, 킴튼 리버플레이스 가 FHR 에 해당됩니다.

개인적으로 최악이라고 봅니다. 매달 25불의 크레딧을 주는데, 제약이 너무 심합니다. 원래 이곳을 다니던 경우이거나 월 40불의 Equinox+ 를 하는 분 외에는 전혀 메리트가 없으니까요. 차라리 연 300불이라고만 했으면 단 몇 달만 다녀볼 수 있을텐데, 그것도 불가능하고요.
Equinox 셀렉트는 크레딧을 받을 수 없다는 이야기도 있으니 주의하시길 바랍니다.
Basic Card Members and Additional Card Members on U.S. Consumer Platinum Card Accounts are eligible to receive up to a total of $25 in statement credits each month across all Cards on the Platinum Account on membership fees for (i) select Equinox memberships (which include complimentary access to the Equinox+ app as part of membership) or (ii) a stand-alone membership to the Equinox+ app. In each case, membership fees must be charged directly by Equinox or Equinox+ (as applicable) to their Platinum Card, to be eligible for statement credits. To receive this benefit, Card Members must (1) access the Equinox website through the link provided in the benefits section of their American Express online account or mobile app, or at https://platinum.equinox.com/, to enroll in an eligible Equinox or Equinox+ membership or validate their eligibility to apply the benefit to an existing eligible membership or (2) with respect to the Equinox membership only, enroll in an eligible Equinox membership in person at a Club. Eligible Card Members must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or must have the written consent of a parent or legal guardian if they are between the ages of sixteen (16) and eighteen (18), to enroll in an eligible membership. 다른 새로운 혜택인 CLEAR 는 뭐 별다른 부가설명이 필요 없을 것 같네요. 참고로 항공사 엘리트 등급은 할인된 가격 혹은 공짜로 받을 수 있다고 하니 참고하세요
추가로 Saks 와 GE/TSA프리 가 아직 남아 있으니 해당 혜택도 잘 챙기시고요.
개인적으로 이번 혜택과 기존 혜택의 실제 가치를 제 개인적으로 평가한 것을 한 번 적어봅니다.
* 우버 크레딧: 120불 (실제 식당에서 우버 Eat 로 시킬 경우 10~15% 비싸짐 + 배송비 + 팁 을 계산한 금액)
* Saks 크레딧: 80불 (100불은 제대로 잘 뽑아내지만, 쓸데 없는 것을 구입하거나, 돈을 더 줘야 해서 80불로 책정)
* 항공 크레딧: 100불 (싸웨/UA 신공으로 좀 쓸 수 있지만, 제대로 쓰는 것은 자리 지정 & 수화물 가격이라는 것을 감안하고 100불로 책정)
* GE/TSA 프리 크레딧: 50불 (이미 다른 카드도 많아서)
* 호텔 크레딧: 140불 (억지 호캉스라서 100불로 주고 싶지만, 그래도 FHR/HC 로 숙박시 받는 크레딧 고려)
* 디지털 크레딧: 20불 (어쩌라궁 #1)
* CLEAR 크레딧: 0불 (어쩌라궁 #2)
* Equinox 크레딧: 0불 (어쩌라궁 #3)
