Sapphire preferred benefit 중에 $50 annual ultimate rewards hotel credit 이 있는 걸로 알고 있는데,
작년에 한국에서는 착각해서 Freedom card를 쓰는 바람에 돈만 날렸고 (mattress run이라고 생각하고 했는데 $50도 받지 못했고, Marriott에서 Qualtifying night으로 쳐주지도 않는다고 하더군요.)
올해는 좀 받아볼까 하고 찾아보니 Chase Sapphire benefit에서 잘 보이던 것이 아무리 눈을 씼고 찾아봐도 보이지 않아서 마일모아에서 찾아보니 아래와 같은 얘기가 적혀있네요.

When you use your card to purchase hotel accommodation through the Ultimate Rewards program, you will earn a statement credit up to $50.
Two quick points here: This benefit is calculated per membership year, and the first $50 in Ultimate Rewards hotel purchases will not earn rewards points.
여기서 질문 세 가지.
첫번째는 per membership year 이라함은 calendar year 이 아니고 membership fee 낸 그달부터 12개월이라는 얘기겠지요?
두번째는 the first $50 in Ultimate Rewards hotel purchases will not earn rewards points 이건 $50불은 받지만 포인트는 못받는다는 얘기죠? $50을 못 받는다는 얘기는 아닌 것으로 생각됩니다.
세번째는 설마 Sapphire 에서 이 benefit을 없앤 건 아니겠지요?
일단 지불은 했는데 궁금해서요.
