Today's post is about the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ card.
The Sari business card is a Huge signup bonus of 200,000 UR points (after 6 months of $30,000 spend)is Chase's newest business card that made its debut with a bang.
I don't think there's any disagreement that the UR 200,000-point sign-up bonus is attractive, but with an annual fee of $795, I think there will be a lot of negative opinions on whether or not to keep this card.
In today's post, we'll cover the highlights of this card,
- Offer Basic History
- A full complement of benefits
- Good to know, but ambiguous benefits
- Great perks for big spenders
- Things to keep in mind
- Card application eligibility requirements
- Other options to consider instead of this card
to organize them.
This time, the newly updated Personal Sari Card (Chase Sapphire Reserve®)For Separate articlefor more information.
Table of Contents
1. Offer Basic History
The basics of this offer are
- 30,000 for 6 months
- You get 200,000 UR points, which are Chase's own points.
If I remember correctly, this is the highest sign-up bonus ever for a card that earns UR points.
(The previous record was a 120,000 point offer after 3 months of $8,000 spend on the Ink Business Preferred® Card).
However, the Sari Business Card is definitely a premium card, and the annual fee is one of the highest in the market.
The $795 annual fee for one year is literally the most expensive annual fee you'll ever pay, easily surpassing the $695 annual fee for competitor Amex's Business Platinum Card®.
Is this annual fee really worth it?
In the first year, it's okay because there's a new member bonus, but in the second year, it's really about whether the benefits of the card are really meaningful, and I would say that's highly dependent on the spending history and travel patterns of the bosses.

2. sufficiently available benefits
The Sari Business Card comes with a number of benefits.
In my opinion, there are three of these benefits that are fully available and can therefore play a real role in lowering your annual fee.
1) $300 annual travel credit
The $300 travel credit is the same benefit as the personal Sari card.
The idea is that you can automatically earn up to $300 in statement credits each year (on your anniversary year), no strings attached, as long as your spending qualifies for travel, with no additional requirements such as using specific sites.
This benefit is so easy to use that it can be argued that it actually lowers the annual fee.
2) $100 Curated Gift Card Credit: Giftcards.com
Sari Business Card only The giftcards.com siteThis is an offer that gives you a credit of up to $50 on a semi-annual basis and up to $100 on a calendar year basis when you use your card to purchase gift cards.
There's not a huge selection of gift cards, but with Macy's, TJ Maxx, and more, it shouldn't be too hard to redeem.
The only downside is that it's annoying, and these are usually discounted gift certificates from places like Costco, so they have a nominal value of $100, not a real value of $100.
This benefit is said to last until 10/31/2028, at least for now.
3) $500 credit: The EditSM
The second is The EditSM This benefit is tied to a hotel program.
The EditSM is Chase's version of Amex's Fine Hotels & Resorts hotel program, where you can earn perks like free breakfast for two, a $$100 hotel credit, upgrades, late checkout, and more when you book two nights or more through the Chase site.
And if you're a Sari Business Card member, you can get a statement credit for prepaid bookings using your Sari Business Card, which can be up to $250 for each half of the year, or up to $500 for a full year, if you split the year into first half and second half.
I did a search and found examples like the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, which is The Edit hotel.
In July, a two-night stay at the Shilla Hotel costs $717. If you prepaid this amount on your Sari business card, it means you'll get $250 back from Chase afterward.
3. Nice to have, but ambiguous benefits
The following benefits are great if you use them well,
- If it's not a service you were already using, it's either an obscure or difficult benefit to write about (ZipRecruiter, Google Workspace), or it's a
- Benefits that require a lot of effort each month to find and eat (DoorDash; Lyft)
and more, organized in a table.
I already use Google Workspace, so I think this credit will be helpful, but if you're not using Google email, this will be a revelation.
In some cases, like ZipRecruiter, I don't think it's really a benefit unless you're already using it.
| Benefits | Maximum amount per year | Details | Caveats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Workspace Credit | $200 | Up to $200 credit per calendar year for using your card in Google Workspace | Until 12/31/2027. |
| ZipRecruiter Credit | $400 | Up to $200 semi-annual credit for using ZipRecruiter | Until 12/31/2027. |
| DashPass Membership | $120 | DashPass membership | Until 12/31/2027. Must be activated |
| DoorDash promos | $300 | Up to $25 per month, with $5 for restaurants and two $10 payments valid for groceries, retail orders, etc. | Until 12/31/2027. |
| Lyft credits | $120 | 10 per month | Until 9/30/2027. |
4. great for big spenders
The trend with cards these days is to prioritize big spenders, and this is clearly reflected in the benefits of the Sari Business Card.
That is, if you spend more than $120,000 in a calendar year, you get an additional benefit.
It's better than nothing, but I honestly don't think it's a great deal considering the opportunity cost.
If you spend that much in a year World of Hyatt Business Credit Cardvia Aiming for Hyatt Globalist statusmight be even better.
| Benefits | Maximum amount per year | Details | Caveats |
|---|---|---|---|
| IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status | IHG Top Rated. Free breakfast perks | 120,000 spent, then valid for the remainder of the year + the following year | |
| Southwest Airlines A-list status | Elite status on Southwest Airlines | Valid for the remainder of the year after achievement + 1 year thereafter | |
| Credit for The Shops at Chase | $500 | Get $500 in statement credit when you use your card at Chase's own online stores | Must be used within the year of achievement + one year following the year of achievement. |
| Southwest Airlines Chase Travel credit | $500 | Up to $500 statement credit when you purchase a Southwest ticket from Chase Travel. | Must be used within the year of achievement + one year following the year of achievement. |
5. Things to keep in mind
There's one thing to note about the Sari Business Card.
For the Sari business card, you can create an additional user card (employee card) for your employees, in which case the additional annual fee is called $0.
The lack of an additional annual fee seems like a good deal at first glance, considering that the Personal Sari card costs an additional $$195 for each additional authorized user.
Unfortunately, additional users of the business card see very little benefit from the Sari Business Card.
For example, the additional user cannot enter the Chase Sapphire Lounge® by The Club on their own, nor do they have the benefits of the Priority Pass Select card.
I think this is something to consider if you're thinking about additional user cards.
6. Eligibility requirements to apply for the card
Here are the eligibility requirements to apply for the card
For the personal card, there are a lot of important changes, such as no longer being eligible for bonuses while holding a Sharp card, applying for a Sari card, and the introduction of the "once in a lifetime" bonus rule.
For the Sari business card, there doesn't appear to be any constraints.
- It doesn't matter if you have a Sari personal card or a Sharp personal card.
- It also doesn't appear that having other business cards issued by Chase has any impact.
That is, Chase's unofficial rule of 5/24 does apply, but other than that, as long as you qualify for the business issuance, you shouldn't have a problem with the terms, it looks like this.
However, I think it's important to remember that this is a business card.
In the U.S., sole proprietorships with small side hustles can be considered businesses, which is why it's common for English-speaking bloggers to say that driving for Uber or selling used goods on eBay as a hobby is no problem for a business card application. The actual process of applying for a business card is pretty straightforward, no different from a personal card.
Shortcuts: How to fill out the Chase Business Card application
However, (and this is just my opinion), I don't think this is as easy as it seems.
(1) For starters, if you're not a permanent resident or citizen, it's probably best not to apply for a business card at all.
(2) In addition, your state may not require you to register as a sole proprietorship, but your county or city may require you to register (depending on your business). The opinion that business cards are just a form of payment, not related to the actual business and therefore not relevant to tax reporting. It's also a common comment on the mileage meter, but I think it's worth noting.
I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a tax accountant, and anything you put on the wear site is at your own risk.
7. Other options to consider instead of this card
The Sari business card is,
- 200,000 bonus points, the highest level ever
- Decent point-earning rates (Chase's own travel portal, Chase TravelSM8 points per dollar for direct airline/hotel bookings, 4 points per dollar for direct airline/hotel bookings, and 3 points per dollar for social media search engine ads)
- A bunch of annoying credits that, if you know where to look, can help reduce your annual fee
However, I think the $30,000 spending requirement to get the signup bonus is a big drawback for business owners who don't have a lot of revenue.
- You can create multiple new cards with a $30,000 spend
- And considering that business cards are typically made once and used for a long time, a sari business card isn't always the right answer.
So in this case, you might want to consider other business cards as an alternative.
There are actually a number of good cards out there.
1) Chase Ink Cards
First, Chase's existing business cards, the Ink Series, are an alternative.
The Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card and Ink Business Cash® Credit Card are no annual fee cards, and the current 75,000 UR points bonus after $6,000 in spending is a great deal.
The Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card is a card with a $95 annual fee that earns UR 90,000 points after spending $8,000 in 3 months. It also has the advantage of being a Dorrance card.
| Info | Chase Ink Cards |

| Basic features | These are business cards issued by Chase that don't have annual fees like the Ink Cash or Unlimited cards. |
| Features | The no-annual-fee cards are advertised as cash back, but they earn Chase's own Ultimate Rewards (UR) points, which can also be converted to airline miles and hotel points when combined with the so-called Dorrance card. |
| Recommendations | 1. the Ink Unlimited card earns 1.5 points per dollar spent, regardless of the item 2. the Ink Cash card earns up to 5 points per dollar on eligible purchases (office supply store, internet, cable, and phone items, up to $2.5k per year) 3. the Ink Preferred card is a Dorrance card, so you can convert UR points to airline miles or hotel points |

| Learn More | Ink Business Cash® Credit Card (Ink Cache) Earn UR 35,000 points worth $350 in cash after spending $3,000 in 3 months. Earn UR 40,000 points worth $400 in cash when you spend an additional $3,000 ($6,000 total) within the next 6 months. For a total of UR 75,000 points. |
| Learn More | Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card (Ink Preferred) Earn 90,000 UR points after spending $8,000 in 3 months. Annual fee is $95. |
2) Capital One Business Cards
Capital One's business cards have some great offers right now.
First, the Spark Cash card is currently on promotion.
- $1,500 cash bonus after spending $15,000 in 3 monthsin the file.
- With a standard 2% cash back, no annual fee for the first year and $95 for the second year, this is a card you can afford to keep.
Next, there's the Spark Cash Plus card.
- You can get a $2,000 cash bonus after spending $30,000 in 3 months.
- The annual fee is $150.
- This card is supposed to continue to give you an additional $2,000 cash bonus for every $500,000 in spending for the first year, but $500,000 is a lot of money, so I don't think many people will actually be able to take advantage of it ;);

Let's wrap up today's post.
It's always great to hear that a new business card has been released.
The good news is that you can get 200,000 UR points for a single room.
However, it's worth noting that it's not for everyone, with drawbacks like high spending and high annual fees.
If you're a boss who doesn't have a hard time spending and you need UR points, you might want to take a closer look at the pros and cons of this offer.

Mamo's link got me mermaided, and now I'm going to start using it.
Congrats on the mermaid and thanks for the link.
I missed the last personal card deal because I haven't received my personal Safecard bonus for less than 4 years. Can I apply for this one since it's a business card?
Yes. I understand that you can apply regardless of your personal card.
Sari Business also has a Dorrance feature for
Is there?
Yes. Can be converted to airline miles and hotel points.
Thanks for the summary, even if I read it in English, it seems simpler and more comfortable to see it summarized like this.
We're glad you found this helpful.
I'm trying to figure out what I should do since this is a great opportunity to earn 200,000 points.
How long will this offer be valid?
What advice would be most appropriate for my current situation?
1. Hyatt Global List will be achieved in the next month or so.
After that, I think I'll just have to create a Business Sapphire Reserve instead of a Hyatt card...
2. I created a personal Sapphire Preferred two months ago and got 100,000 points, but I don't use it anymore.
I downgraded my personal saricad to unlimited to create a prefund.
I want to know if there are fees that are automatically subscribed to the sari and if I can keep my card number.
3. and then there's the business Ink Preferred (since 2023) and Ink Sister (since 2024), which I actually use for business.
Is it okay to apply Business Sari in this situation? I can afford to spend 30k in 6 months.
Assuming you're approved, what about the other dogs, Saff and Freedom?
A married couple writes for Everyday...
Is it worth the $795 annual fee to keep this (I travel a lot)
I'm not sure if it's better to turn my personal freedom sister back into a sari.
Any advice would be appreciated.
1. offer expiration date is not yet known, we will update as soon as we have information.
2. if you can spend it, I think you can use it for the first year after you get it, and you can keep your personal Saf and Freedom.
3. It's probably not too late to decide whether to upgrade your personal Freedom Sari after you've been using the Sari Business card for a year or so.
Thank you for the information.
I was thinking about Amex Plat, but I don't know which one is better.
My husband has Plat, so I thought I'd just open the same one and use it for mileage tickets, airport lounges, etc.
Ahhh, it's a tough call, I guess it depends on your travel patterns and how you use your points. It's a shame that lounge access has changed ;);
I applied after much deliberation and got my card today, thanks for the great info.
Congratulations on your approval.
I got my business saree approved today through your link.
I'm new to sarees, is the x 1.5 value still valid when used in UR mall?
I'm looking to try it out, but the old Sapphire looks like it's worth 1.25x, while the Sari account looks like it's 1:1.
Congratulations on the approval and thanks for the link.
My understanding is that if you're new, you're only eligible for the points boost.
I just made a Sapphire Ink card, can I make this card?
It's not impossible to apply, good luck.
Can Travel credit 300 and edit 250 be stacked? I'm looking at the last train
There is talk on the message boards that it was possible, but I don't know if this will be maintained.
Hello, I'm a late comer to the Mile Game, and I've been looking at the mileage board every day lately, and I'm wondering if I can sign up here. How can I do that?
Signups for the boards are limited to one day every 1-2 years for a 24-hour period. The last signup was around February 2024, and we're not sure when the next one will be.
We'll add your email to our notification list so that when the signup announcement comes up, you'll be reminded by email.
I thought the personal sapphire rule was that you can't duplicate the signing bonus because they are classified as the same product,
The beaded sapphire rule does not apply to this same product, correct?
I already have the Sapphire Preferred Business and have had it for 3 years after receiving the bonus, and I'm looking to get the Sapphire Reserve Business, but I'm trying to check this first, but it says personal but I can't find the business card side.
I'm wondering if I should cancel my Sapphire Preferred bead and get a Sapphire Reserve bead if I'm just being paranoid.
Yes. I understand that Business is a new product this time around, so it has nothing to do with personal cards.
There are anecdotal reports of people getting approved for multiple Chase business cards, but one card seems to be fine.
Does this card also have Dorrance functionality?
We apologize for the delay in responding.
Yes. There is a Dorrance feature.
