=====
Welcome back to the main blog posting.
How are you all doing? We hope all of you who visit Milemoa are doing well and find peace.
Since mid-January 2025, there have been a lot of great offers for hotel cards, airline cards, and more.
In today's post, we've summarized main features of these great offers.
Table of Contents
1. Chase, Southwest Personal Card Offers
First up is the Southwest Airlines (Southwest) offer, which runs through March 31st.
There are three personal cards issued by Chase.
- If you get one of these three cards and fulfill your spending requirement ($4,000 for in the first 3 months from account opening.)
- You will earn a companion pass ("Promotional Companion Pass") that is valid through the end of February of next year (02/28/26) plus
- 30,000 points.
I think this is a great deal if you have a lot of travel plans for this year (2025) and the first two months of the next year (2026).
I think a family of four could maximize their benefits this year, especially if both parents each get a personal card and designate their two children as companions.
As I mentioned earlier, there are three different Southwest personal cards.
Of these, the The Priority card (Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card) is your best option.
- Although there's a $149 annual fee for
- You will get $75 Southwest® travel credit (based on anniversary year)
- You will also get 4 Upgraded Boardings each year.
This is the best option if you fly a lot on Southwest, including using the Companion Pass.

2. Amex, Delta personal/business card offers
The offer for Delta cards issued by Amex is running through 4/2.
All three personal cards and all three business cards have increased their welcome bonuses.
There is one caveat for the Delta Personal Card.
This is the so-called family rule, which says that if you get a higher-tier personal card first, you can't get a welcome bonus for a lower-tier personal card later.
For example, the terms and conditions for Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card reads as follows
"You may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer if you have or have had this Card the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card, the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card or previous versions of these Cards."
What does this mean? There are three tiers of personal cards: Gold, Platinum, and Reserve. And if you get a Platinum or Reserve card before a Gold card, you won't get the welcome offer for the Gold card.
So if you're getting your first Personal Delta Card, you should definitely start with a Personal Gold Card first.
Fortunately, the personal gold card (Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card) is a decent card to recommend as a first Amex card.
To summarize the benefits,
- $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $150 for the second year.
- 80,000 welcome bonus miles after you make $3,000 or more (the "Threshold Amount") in eligible purchase within your first 6 months of Card Membership (starting from the date that your account is opened). 80,000 Delta miles are equivalent to $800 cash for Delta ticket purchases at Delta.com (for Delta cardholders).
- Up to $100 credit for hotel bookings on Delta sites (calculated on a calendar year basis)
- $200 Delta credit when you spend $10,000 (in calendar year) (subject to redemption within one year of receiving credit)
So I'd say it's easily worth around $800-900.

The family card rules I mentioned earlier don't apply to business cards, so it's worth remembering that.

3. [Ended] Chase, IHG card offers
[Update 03.20.2025: The IHG offer has ended, and the current offer is 140,000 for 3 months of $3000 spend].
The Chase-issued IHG Personal Card is currently on a higher welcome bonus offer.
The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card is a so-called new-IHG card.
How do you use the sign-up bonus of 170,000 points? For example, it is good for a 3-night stay at InterContinental Grand Seoul Parnes (next COEX) in Soul for off-season and 2 nights in peak season. In terms of cash value, I'd say it's worth about $750.
There is a 40,000 point cap for the Anniversary Free Night certificate that you will get when you renew your card. But you can top-off any shortfall beyond 40,000 points by adding more points, so it's not hard to use your Anniversary Free Night certificate.
However, it's worth noting that you can't hold the so-called old IHG card (IHG One Rewards Select Card) at the same time as the new IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card. If you'd like to have the new card, you need to cancel the old IHG card (IHG One Rewards Select Card).
"All information about IHG One Rewards Select Card has been collected independently by MileMoa. IHG One Rewards Select Card is no longer available through MileMoa."
IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card | |
---|---|
Basic features | 140,000 points after 3 months of $3000 spend |
Key benefits | Anniversary Free Night certificate (worth up to 40,000 points hotel redemption) upon card renewal starting one year after card issuance (i.e., starting in year 2) |
For a stay that requires more than 40,000 points, you redeem additional points on top of the Anniversary Free Night certificate. | |
Redeem Three Nights, Get Fourth Reward Night Free | |
Earn up to $50 back in credit each year when you enroll your card with United TravelBank. | |
Platinum status just for having the card (few actual benefits, no breakfast) | |
Annual fee | Annual fee is $99 |

4. BoA, Alaska Card Offer
Next up is the Alaska Airlines card offer issued by Bank of America.
It's a personal card, the Alaska Airlines Visa® credit card.
You'll receive 70,000 miles after spending $3,000 within 90 days and a one-time Companion Fare™ coupon.
Alaska recently merged with Hawaiian Airlines, so they have a lot more routes, making this offer a timely one.

5. Citi, American Airlines Personal Card Offer
This is an American Airlines credit card offer.
It's a personal card, a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® card.
- You'll receive 75,000 AA AAdvantage® miles after spending $3,500 in the first 4 months after opening the card.
- Baggage benefits (terms apply), and more.
- There's a $99 annual fee, but it says the first year is waived ("this fee is waived for the first 12 months of account opening")
- Please note that the new account bonus is not available if you have received a new account bonus for a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® account in the past 48 months on a card of the same type as this card. ("American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles are not available if you have received a new account bonus for a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® account in the past 48 months or if you converted another Citi credit card account on which you earned a new account bonus in the last 48 months into a Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® account.")
I've been getting great value on AA miles lately, so this is a great opportunity if you need AA miles.

6. Chase, United Business Card
There are several United Airlines partner cards issued by Chase.
The United℠ Business Card is currently running a great promotion.
That's 100,000 miles for spending $5,000 in 3 months.
With 100,000 miles, you can get a one-way off-peak US-South Korea business flight with miles, so it's easily worth $2,000 or more in cash value.

7. [Ended] Chase, Hyatt business cards
[Update 03.06.2025: The offer for additional nights has ended, please don't be mistaken].The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, which we've written about before as a great card for business owners who spend a lot on their cards, is running a promotion.

8. Amex, Bonvoy Business Card Offers
Finally, there's the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, a hotel credit card issued by Amex.
You'll get 125,000 points as a welcome bonus after spending $8,000 in 6 months, but with point inflation these days, it's hard to get 2 nights at a nice hotel for that many points, so if you're looking for a business card, you'd be better off looking at the United or Hyatt cards I mentioned earlier.
Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card | |
---|---|
Annual Free Night Award (up to 35,000 points hotel redemption) upon card renewal starting 1 year after card issuance | |
Bonvoy points can be converted to airline miles at 3:1 ratio (Korean Air is not an option) | |
Annual fee is $125 | |
Caveats | Be aware that there are a number of restrictions if you have other Bonvoy credit cards. Checklist |

Let's wrap up today's post.
Multiple good offers are definitely a good thing, as it gives you more choices.
However, it's important to remember that you need pay off your credit card balance each and every month. Otherwise, fees and interests will be higher than the value of welcome bonus you will get.
We hope you all have a great week.

Thanks for the info!!!
Is there a better card in the order?
Oh, not necessarily - I think the best card for you will depend on your individual travel plans, priorities, and preferences.
Thanks for the information. Alaska Airlines also offers 70,000 points and a companion, is that okay?
I also updated the offer you mentioned in the text.
There is a difference between Southwest's Companion Pass and Alaska's Companion Fare. With Southwest, it's buy one, get one free (taxes and other fees apply) so you can bring a companion on your trip. With Alaska, it's a coupon that can be used once.
So if you're planning multiple trips and Southwest serves the destination you want to go to, I'd say Southwest is the better value based on the Companion Pass alone.
However, I would argue that 70,000 miles in Alaska can be much more valuable if you're thinking about one trip at most, and international destinations like Korea/Japan rather than domestic travel.
Thank you for your detailed reply!!!
We're glad you found this helpful.
Thanks for the information. If I have an old IHG card, is it possible to get a bonus if I cancel it and apply for a new card?
According to the terms, yes. They say it can take a while to update your card holdings (I've heard 30 days), so you'll need to do some good date math if you want to go this route.
Relatedly, the old IHG card has its own benefits (e.g., 10% back on points redemptions), so it's worth considering whether you'd rather have the new personal card or the IHG Business card.
For the Chase United Business card, is there no longer a rule that says you have to be 2 years past the previous bonus?
It's still there. It's not in the offer terms, but if you look at the bottom of the card application it says "The new Cardmember bonus offer is only available if I do not have this card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months."
Thanks for the great information as always Master, if it's possible, would it be possible for me to be notified of the plans and reminders for this year's membership openings, thank you.

Congrats on the mermaid and thanks for the link.
Thanks for the great information. I created the IHG card 3 months after the Chase Uni and 1.5 months after the IHG card was issued.
Chase Sapphire Card Challenge (a bit risky) / Delta Gold (5/24 slots with non-Chase cards) Worth trying?
I know it doesn't feel like the chase is fast enough, but I think that's a personal preference, so it's hard to say 'this is the right answer'.
Hi, I would like to know more about this statement -> If you keep your card registered with United TravelBank, you can get up to $50 credit back every year. I opened the IHG card a few months ago and when I logged in to united, I saw $25 in my TravelBank balance and it was valid for 1 year.
I will receive $25 around January 5 and $25 around July 5. I understand that it is valid for 6 months.
"Must be an IHG One Rewards Premier or Premier Business cardmember to be eligible for this benefit. Each calendar year, the primary cardmember will receive one $25 United® TravelBank cash deposit in their United MileagePlus® account on or about January 5, and another $25 United® TravelBank cash deposit on or about July 5, subject to the requirements and restrictions below."
"TravelBank Cash that is received as part of this benefit and deposited between January 1 and June 30 will expire on July 15 of the same calendar year, regardless of deposit date. Deposits made between July 1 and December 31 will expire on January 15 of the following calendar year, regardless of deposit date."
hello.
I currently have the Amex Delta Gold card, can I apply for a new Platinum card and get 90,000 miles after spend? Or do I have to upgrade and not apply for a new card?
You'll have to apply for a new card, but Amex has a popup and sometimes the signup bonus doesn't show up even if the card is approved, so you'll have to take that into account.
I got IHG Platinum last year and thought it was 140,000, but it came in as a 5-night free night voucher, not points. It's not a bad deal because 1 night can be up to 60,000 points, but the benefit of only 3 nights for 4 nights is not available, and there are few InterContinental destinations, so it feels rather wasteful.
I'm sorry, I thought the 3 nights for 4 nights offer only applied to point deductions.
Anyway, 300,000 points is not a small amount of points in absolute terms, and I hope you're able to choose your destinations/hotels well enough to be able to redeem them to the fullest.
Thanks for the great information. Would it be possible for me to be notified of the open enrollment plan for this year?
Added your email to the notification list.
I was approved for Citi AA using your link!
I opened my first card with the Amex Hilton I saw in the wear and tear, and the credit card I received over a year later is even more valuable, thank you so much.
I applied for the Sapphire Preferred from a banker at the branch at the end of June last year with less than a year of credit history and was rejected, and at the end of July, the same banker told me to apply once more, so I reapplied and was rejected again (they said it was a new card application a month and a day after I applied, so they did another credit check-.-;)
If another good Chase Sapphire Preferred deal comes along in June, would it be okay to apply again?
I'm hoping to be able to do this sometime this summer, as a longer credit history will increase your chances of approval (though I can't make any promises).
I was approved for chase southwest from your link, is it possible to get on the notification mailing list this year?
Congratulations on the approval and thanks for using the link.

I've been waiting for the business card, is the united business card worth keeping after filling the spend? I'm a newbie and don't know much about it, so I'm asking. Thank you~!
There are mileage seats (XN) that are only accessible to elites and United partner cardholders, so if you don't have a personal card, I think it's worth keeping.
If I get the Alaska card 70,000 miles, can I combine it with the 70,000 miles I recently got for the Hawaiian card? I'm a newbie... I don't know much about this. It would be a good offer if possible.
Yes. I know it's possible.
I have an Amex Delta Gold card, but when I applied for a new LinkTago Platinum card, it said I couldn't get the welcome offer.
When I asked the agent, she said that the welcome bonus is not applicable to the same type of group (family) card,
Did the policy change recently?
While the terms say it is possible, the Amex popup can happen for a number of other reasons, regardless of the card type;;
Oh, I see!!!
Thank you for your comment~ ^^.
I'll have to try it again in the future~~!
I want to become a member, can I comment here?
Can I write a nickname in the name field?

Hi there.
For the Alaska card offer, what is the cap on companion fare? For example, if I cut one 1st class, does that mean my companion can fly with me for only $99 + tax?
The terms say it's limited to published coach airfare.
"a round-trip coach Companion Fare code on Alaska Airlines from $122 (USD) ($99 base fare plus taxes and fees, from $23 depending on your Alaska Airlines flight itinerary) when traveling with another passenger on a paid published coach airfare on the same itinerary, booked at the same time on alaskaair.com."

I applied for the Amex Delta Gold and it says I can't get the WorldCom bonus. I applied for the Amex Hilton card a year ago and only got the WorldCom bonus and haven't used the card since, but I wonder if this is why I can't get the WorldCom bonus.
I'm sorry to hear you're getting pop-up notices, but Amex pop-ups can be difficult to resolve because you can only guess at the reason, not know exactly.

Thanks for the great recap. I didn't have many offers in January, but now I have a lot of good card offers.
Do you happen to know how long the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard® card offer lasts? I tried to find out, but I guess I missed it. I'm torn because both the Delta and AA cards are good offers, and Delta has until 4/2, so if I don't know how long the AA offer lasts, I'll probably apply for the AA first and then apply for the Delta on 4/2.
There does not seem to be a known date ;;
I was nervously wondering if it was a good deal or not, but thanks to this article, I got approved for the southwest card! I'd appreciate it if you could put me on the notification list too^^.
Congratulations on your approval.

I recently achieved Sawe Comp and won't be flying any other airlines until the end of next year, so is the Delta Gold card still worth it, and could you please add me to your mailing list for the latest signups? Thanks as always.
1. the Delta offer comes around maybe twice a year, so I don't think it's a card you should rush to get unless you need Delta miles right now.
2. added.
My husband, who doesn't know anything, has opened 14 cards in the last two years since he retired. He's the primary account and added me, but now that he wants to open another card in my name, I'm the secondary account. In this case, can I not apply for my business card as well? I'm afraid I'll spend a lot of money this spring, so I'm not sure if I should apply. And if I close all the cards I don't use or store cards, will I still be able to apply for a card for a while?
So you're an authorized user on all 14 cards, right? I've heard that if you call Chase and ask them to reconsider, they'll count the authorized user accounts but not the authorized user accounts, so you might want to look into that.
I followed the link to ihg and got the mermaid. Thanks as always mamaw
Congrats on the mermaid and thanks for the link.

I applied for chase ihg with your link, but I don't have a chase account, but I only got an email saying they'll check it out.
How do I do this? Is there any way to send mail?
I remember being notified by email whether it was approved or not.
Can I make a Sway card and use it right away? Or will I not be able to use it until the actual card comes? I'm planning to make it because I bought something big online at Costco, but I'm running out of time (sale ends in February). If you can use it right away, I think it's right to make it, or not to make it... I was wondering if any of you got a temporary number right away?
I think if I had the Chase app, I could have gotten the card and registered it with Google Pay and used it before I got the card.
It's the end of February, and we hope you've made it through.
I was wondering how to sign up, but now I know. Can you remind me to sign up?

Could you please add my email to the notification list as well, always appreciated ^_^

If I apply for a Chase Business Card and it says In Review and I don't get approved right away, is it almost guaranteed that I won't get approved? I've been declined a few times by Chase in the past (since it always says In Review like this...).
But in the meantime, there were 5 cards, so I thought it was because it took 5/24 authorization, but now it's 4. My credit score is about 791 from Chase, so it's not low. Chase cards are Freedom and Bonvoy personal cards... Oh, and Amazon cards... They were always approved immediately, but since then... It's tight... Get a Chase card...
I hear Chase is busy these days, so if you get a rejection, give them a call and try to recon.
Thank you! I got my IHG card thanks to you

I really covet the Chase United Business card... ^^ But the problem is that I made it in February last year, and I wonder if there is a case of making it again in a year and succeeding. If there is such a case, I am willing to take a risk and give it a try... ^^;

Congratulations, mermaid.
I'm a graduate student studying in the US and have been making cards for about 18 months.
I'm looking to get a United business card out of the ones you mentioned, but the only credit card I've gotten before that is a bangoa card (which has a $0 membership fee, no credit history or SSN required). I was thinking of doing the Chase Sapphire Preferred, but they don't have a limited time offer yet, so I'm thinking of trying the above business card first, is that a good choice, since it's a business card?
No. If you read the business card deal, Milemoa doesn't recommend it unless you're a permanent resident/citizen.
As @pasta replied, international students are not recommended to try the business card.
Sapphire offers are rumored to be returning soon.
