=====
The Bonvoy personal card from Chase and the IHG personal card from IHG are running a promotion for 5 night stays.
Both offers have been around for a while.
This is a great deal for those who can max out the value of their stay within a year.
In today's post, we've summarized the basics of offers and what to look out for.
Table of Contents
1. IHG Premier Personal Card: 5 stays (up to 60,000 points per stay)
Our first offer today is the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, commonly referred to as the New-IHG Card.
There's an offer running through July 23 for a sign-up bonus of 5 night stays worth up to 60,000 points per night. (Note that the spending requirement has gone up $1,000 from last year with a 3-month, $5,000 spend requirement).
If you maxed out your nights, you could theoretically call it a 300,000 point offer, which is definitely a record-breaking offer. (The previous record for a points offer, not a night, was 175,000 points).
The card also has three important advantages.
1) 3 nights points for 4 nights stay
First, I can tell you that you can get a 4th night free with 3 nights points when you have the card (4th night free feature).
This benefit allows cardmembers to stay four or more nights using points from their account and get the fourth night free, which can be a significant savings since you can get a fourth night using only three nights' worth of points.
(Please note that a 4-night stay with a certificate does not mean that you can only redeem 3 of the certificates, only the points-deducting nights..)
2) Annual accommodation vouchers
Another great perk is that starting in your second year of card ownership, you'll receive one Anniversary Free Night with every card renewal.
However, there is a restriction that these nights can only be used for stays at hotels that cost up to 40,000 points, Ability to add or subtract points years agoand now hotels that cost more than 40,000 points can be booked.
For example, if a hotel costs 50,000 points per night, you can get a night's stay for an additional 10,000 points.
3) United Airlines TravelBank Cash
Members of this card are eligible to receive two United® You'll receive a TravelBank credit.
- Pre-registration is required to receive this credit (ihg.com/united)
- The downside is that unused credits expire (credits received in January expire on 7/15, credits received in July expire on 1/15 of the following year).
- If you use it well, it can lower your annual fee.

2. Things to keep in mind
There are a few caveats to this offer.
1) Accommodation tickets are valid for one year.
The terms state that the reservation and stay must be completed within one year of the date of issue ("Each Free Night must be redeemed, and stay must be completed, within 12 months from date of issue.")
It's also important to note that stays at hotels under 60,000 won't give you back any leftover points, nor will they convert to points in general, so if you don't plan on traveling within a year, this offer could be a bargain.
2) No additional points can be deducted
As mentioned earlier, annual stays have the ability to add points back.
Unfortunately, the nights you receive with this offer are not eligible for additional points ("Each Free Night is valid for a one night hotel stay at a property with a redemption level up to 60,000 points, and cannot be supplemented with points from your IHG One Rewards account to redeem for a night hotel stay above that point redemption level.")
This means that if you want to stay at a hotel that costs more than 60,000 points, you won't be able to redeem the night you receive with this offer.
It's important to note that
3) There is a (relative) lack of hotels in Korea.
If you're looking to redeem IHG nights in Korea, you'll need to consider the lack of hotels.
The IHG chain itself has nearly 6,000 properties around the world, so it's not far behind Marriot in terms of chain size.
However, there is a weakness in the number of hotels in Korea, which is often traveled by magicians, compared to Marriot.
In Seoul, there are two intercoms at COEX, so magical people used to use it as a base when visiting Korea. However, the intercon at COEX has been under construction since July last year, so it is not available.
Of course, if you live near a tree-lined street Voco Gangnam Hotelin Myeongdong, Seoul, and One more Voco hotel The number of hotels is increasing, but it's still far from Marriot, so I think you should be careful about this.
3. What to look out for when applying for the card
This is a Chase-issued card, so of course it's a 5/24 check, and Chase's 24-month rule (that you have to wait 24 months from the time you get the bonus) also applies.
In addition, if you currently hold a personal IHG card of any kind, you will be subject to the so-called family rule, which states that you cannot be issued a new one. ("This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any personal IHG One Rewards Credit Card,...")
That's why It's important to note that if you have the so-called old IHG card (IHG One Rewards Select Credit Card), you will not be able to get the personal card that we're talking about today while you have that card..
Of course, if you've canceled your old IHG card, you'll be eligible for this offer, but you might want to think twice about whether canceling your old IHG card is a good idea.
4. Bonvoy Boundless Personal Card: 5 nights (up to 50,000 points per night)
The Bonvoy Boundless Card is also on promotion.
(Information about this card has been collected independently by MileMoa.com. The issuer did not provide the details, nor is it responsible for their accuracy.)
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card is a card issued by Chase that's best described as an entry-level personal card.
- The annual fee is $95 for the first year and
- You get one 3.5k night stay every year starting with the second year renewal, so it's not a bad card to keep.
- Typical signup bonuses are in the neighborhood of 100,000 points.
With our current promotion, when you open the card, you'll receive 5 nights as a sign-up bonus after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months (within 8 weeks of meeting your spend).
Is this ticket good for a one-night stay at a hotel that costs 50,000 points per night?
If you max out the value of a night's stay, you could theoretically use the 50,000 x 5 cards = 250,000 points valuefor a given type.
| The best ever! | Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (Issued by Chase) |
|---|---|
| Welcome Bonus | Three 50k stays after spending $3k in 3 months. One additional 50,000 night certificate when you spend $4,000 in total within 4 months. This means you can earn a maximum of 4 tickets. |
| Up to $100 credit on ticket bookings ($50 per semi-annual period, if your ticket purchase exceeds $250 per semi-annual period): Exclusive offer for 2026 | |
| Annual Free Night Award (up to 35,000 points hotel redemption) upon card renewal starting 1 year after card issuance | |
| Bonvoy points can be converted to miles on many airlines at a 3:1 ratio (Korean Air is no longer a partner) | |
| For calculating elite status Receive 15 Elite Night Credits each year. Plus an additional one for every $5,000 spent. Note that these Night Credits can't be used for actual stays. | |
| Be aware that there are a number of restrictions if you have other Bonvoy credit cards. | |
| The annual fee is $95 for the first year. | |

5. Things to keep in mind
Since this sign-up bonus is in the form of nights rather than points, there are a few downsides to keep in mind.
1) First, nights cannot be converted to points.
2) Since hotel stays don't convert to points, naturally they don't convert to airline miles.
3) A night is just a night, so you won't get your balance back if you redeem it for a hotel under 50,000 points - that's it.
4) Accommodation vouchers have an expiration date, and this voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue.
5) In principle, accommodation rights are not transferable.
6) Things like parking fees and resort fees are paid separately.
The good news is that you can still get stays at hotels that cost more than 50,000 points if you use the points redemption program (the redemption is capped at 1.5 million).
6. What to look out for when applying for the card
Because the Bonvoy Boundless Card is issued by Chase, there are a few things to keep in mind when applying.
1) First of all, this card is a YY card in terms of 5/24, that is, you check 5/24 when applying for the card, and it counts on 5/24 after approval, so if you are over 5/24, it is not possible to apply for 99%.
2) Additionally, this card is a successor to the old SPG Personal Card, so there are quite a few cases where duplicate cards will not be issued.
So don't just apply blindly, check each of the questions below in order (question 1, then 2, then 3, and so on) to see if you're eligible for the card.
Let's wrap up today's post.
These IHG and Bonvoy hotel card offers are some of the best we've ever seen.
However, you'll get the welcome bonus in the form of nights, not points, and there are some downsides to nights, so you'll want to think twice before applying for the card.

If you can do both, which is better? Maybe Marriott because they have more hotels?
Ah, that's a tough one, they're both good offers, and I think you'll have to see what hotels are available in the area you're traveling to and which one is a better fit.
Thanks for the post. I currently have P1 ihg and Marriott and am in my 3rd year. I want to issue ihg or Marriott, but I'm wondering if it's worth taking 2 cards, one ihg for P1 and one for P2, assuming ihg. (Card history, free vs annual fee) Of course, it depends on the situation, but I'm curious to hear your opinions. Or is there a downgrade to take P1's card history but not pay the annual fee?
1. we know that many couples have one of the same type of card because they like to take a two-night, three-day trip every year.
2. there is a Bonvoy bold card with no annual fee, but there is no annual night voucher, so I think you should consider whether it is better to go down or keep it with a night voucher.
Are you saying that if I apply on 4/24 I can apply and if I apply on 5/24 I can't...both sound good.
Right. If it's 4/24 when you apply, it's basically okay, and if it's approved, it's now 5/24.
IHG doesn't seem to have a lot of good hotels for 60,000 points, where is the best place to stay?
Oh, I think this is a hard one to generalize easily ;; there are literally thousands of hotels around the world;
Personally, Intercon or Kimpton.
I got a Bonvoy card 2 years ago with a sign up bonus and still have it. Can I cancel it now and reapply and get the sign up bonus? I'm wondering what the time window will be to reapply after canceling~.
Assuming you're not related to the Bonvoy cards issued by Amex (the old SPG cards), I know that 24 months from signup (not approval) is the standard. The terms and conditions say
"This credit card is not available to you if (1) you currently have any of the following cards or (2) you received a new cardmember bonus for any of the following cards within the last 24 months: Marriott Bonvoy® Premier credit card, Marriott Rewards® Premier credit card, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® credit card, Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus credit card, Marriott Bonvoy Bold® credit card."
Thank you!
Thanks to you, I was approved for the Marriott Card.
One question, does anyone know how long it takes for the nights to come in after spending?
The terms say up to 8 weeks, but I know it doesn't take that long.
"After qualifying, please allow up to 8 weeks for your 5 Free Night Awards to be deposited into your Marriott Bonvoy account."
I got the mermaid from your link, thank you ðŸ™'
Congrats on the mermaid and thanks for the link.
Thanks for the great information as always.
I'm going to try IHG this time, but I want to use the same card as the
I had it and closed it about a month ago(?).
I'm not sure if close means to remove the card.
If I closed my card a month ago, am I still eligible for the signup bonus this time?
Also, Milemoa told me to never exchange UR for Bonvoy points, but this time I saw a deal +65% and it looks like it's worth 1.15 cents, but I don't change it.
Is it better?
1. when did you previously receive the sign-up bonus? If it's been more than 2 years since you received it and you don't have any other IHG personal cards, I think you should be able to (assuming you don't have a 5/24 restriction, of course).
2. Bonvoy transfers to airline miles at a 3:1 ratio. URs vary by airline but are basically 1:1, so even with the 65% bonus, I don't think it's an option you should do.
Thank you for your kind reply. I'll have to check it out and organize it as you suggested.
Thanks for the great information!
My wife and I have both had the SPG personal card (now Marriott bonvoy) for 5 years, will we get the bonus if we apply for the Marriott card a month after canceling?
According to the terms, this is possible at least 30 days after cancellation, but there may be other variables, so you should refer to the flowchart in the text and decide (at your own risk).
I have a Chase Sapphire, can I get the full signup bonus if I open both of the cards you mentioned?
Assuming you don't have any constraints, they are separate cards and both should work.
Chase has an unofficial rule of "two personal cards in 30 days is okay, three is rejected," so if you've recently gotten the Sapphire card, you'll want to be careful about how often you apply for cards.
@Mamo,
I have a question about churning, thanks for the great information. I am planning to make a Bonvoy Boundless card with your link.
I created a Bonvoy Boundless card 3 years ago. Do I have to wait a month to downgrade it to a Bonvoy Bold card with no annual fee? Or is it okay to wait a short 1-2 weeks and then apply for Bonvoy Boundless?
The Bonvoy card has a "family rule" that prevents me from applying for a new card, even if I have a Bold card. The terms and conditions say this "This credit card is not available to you if (1) you currently have any of the following cards or (2) you received a new cardmember bonus for any of the following cards within the last 24 months: Marriott Bonvoy® Premier credit card, Marriott Rewards® Premier credit card, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® credit card, Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus credit card, Marriott Bonvoy Bold® credit card."
So I don't think you should downgrade to Bold, I think you should cancel the card altogether or upgrade to the Ritz-Carlton card.
When I apply for the Chase Boundless card, if I have a card of the same name (Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card) issued in Canada or the UK, won't I get the bonus?
I'm not sure about this one, sorry.
Bonvoy has become too devalued to recommend - there were very few places available for a 35,000 night weekend in California.
I totally agree that Cali is a very expensive place, so it's hard to get a stay for 3.5k without losing extra points.
What if the stay is more than 50,000 points per night on the Bonvoy card? Can I use 2 cards to make a reservation? Thanks in advance for your answer
You can add up to 1.5k points and only book up to 65k point value
No, you can't make 100,000 with two nights, you'll need to use one night and add points to it. However, in this case, you can add up to 15,000 points, so you should consider that you can redeem up to 6.5k rooms per day.
I applied for the Marriott card around the end of May 23 and got the 5 night bonus around July/August 23.
Now two years later, I upgraded my card to Ritz-Carlton in June
And can I reapply after 30 days?
For example, if I received a 5-night bonus on August 23, should I apply for it after August or should I use the
Do I have a better chance of getting the bonus if I apply right away?
According to the terms, it's 24 months from the date you receive the signup bonus, so I think August is a safe bet.
hello. I have a question, but I couldn't sign up, so I'm posting a question here. I made the Brilliant card last year and paid the 2nd annual fee again in June this year. (Based on 5/3~6/2, paid on 6/20) I know that if you cancel the card within 30 days of paying the annual fee, the annual fee is refunded and the stay is still valid, but I'm wondering if it's true that the points received as a sign-up bonus are still valid at Marriott~?
I understand that points that have already been passed to Bonvoy will remain intact.
hello. The hotel I want to go to is 73,000 with Marriott points, so I can't stay with a night ticket even through the add-on system? ^^; (I ask because you said that you can use up to 15,000 if you have more than 50,000)
Yes. You'll have to wait for it to come down to 65,000 or find another hotel.
Hi, I got the IHG 5 night stay promo last year and now I got the Marriott one I've been waiting for! Thanks for the great information and I'd love to add you to my wishlist.
Congratulations, mermaid.
Added.
I was really torn between the two and decided to go with the IHG card. I got it from your link, thanks for introducing me to the offers!
Congrats on the mermaid and thanks for the link.
I've been in the US for a year now and got my Chase credit card in mid-November last year. My credit score is currently at 724, do you think I'm good enough to get the IHG hotel credit card? I don't have a hard and fast criteria, so I'm asking because it's vague!
If you have a short credit history, I don't think your credit score is a reliable indicator. If you already have one Chase card, you're likely to be approved, but you won't know if you're approved until you apply.
When Sari came out, I started reading Milemoa articles, but no matter how I look at it, I'm not confident in using Sari's coupon book well, so I applied as Marriott. Recently, I went on a trip, but I stayed at 4 stars or higher, so I thought Free Night would be much better. I'm going to Quebec in winter, and IHG is only Holiday Inn, so I chose Marriott. I've always liked Marriott, and it seems like a good choice until Hilton has a deal. I applied with a referral link on the English page. However, I'm not sure how to use the Sap points I have accumulated now. I think I should probably use it for airline tickets... If you have a good article, please recommend it.
And I'd love to be on your mailing list, too.
1. looks like you made a good choice. Thanks for the link.
2. added.
Hi Milemoa. Thank you for always posting quality information. I got the IHG card through your link this time. I was going to use it to book InterContinental Parnassus in winter, but it says that it will be changed to Westin Parnassus. I can still see it on the IHG official website, but could you please explain?
I think you saw my post on the board, that Parnassus and this Parnassus are two different hotels.
Originally, there were two intercoms at COEX, Intercon Parnassus, which is still an intercon today, and there was a COEX intercon on the Bong Eun Sa side, which underwent a major renewal and became the Westin Parnassus.
So the InterContinental Parnassus you originally thought of is still available for booking with IHG points.
Ah, I see, that clears up my confusion, thank you!
I've been in the US for 6 months and got the Hilton Honors Amex card as my first card, and I'm thinking about a second card.

You might want to think about your travel plans for the next year and go from there, as hotel stays have expiration dates and can be used up quickly.
I've been in the US for less than a year and just barely got approved for an IHG card with only an ITIN! I received a rejection notice via email a week after my first application, but when I requested a recon, they approved it after completing the documents~.
However, the limit is small, so I'm not sure how to fill it up... I'm sure I'll pay more than the limit, but I tried to prepay and use it, but I don't see that feature in the Chase app.
Anyway, I'll take good care of my first Chase card~ I'm thinking I should have gotten a Marriott after IHG because other people's chips look big.
Congratulations on your approval. We'd like to remind you that prepaying can be considered an arbitrary use of your card limit and may result in account closure.
Hi I got the meriat card 3 years ago, will IHG rejack me if I do it this time?
While there are many variables, it is my understanding that having a Marriott card does not directly impact whether or not you will be approved for an IHG card.
I seriously thought there was no 5 night offer but I got it with your referral link!! Thank you so much.
I got 5 nights in 2019 and had it down to BOLD, then canceled it a month ago (6/15) and got it today (7/17). I think I'm running out of time, so I hope other people can get a good offer when I'm referral linked.
Mr. Milemoa, can you please put me on the WAITLIST? I haven't been able to sign up for over 10 years...ㅠㅠ
Congratulations on the approval and thanks for the link.
Added to the notification list.
I made both of those with your links. ihg was about a month ago and marriott was approved yesterday and the card is on its way.
Now that I'm flush with hotel vouchers, I'll have to happily decide where to go lol.
Congratulations on the approval and thanks for using the link.
I've decided to go with Merriot and love the card with your link. I'm going to put the staycard to good use at the end of the year. I'd love to be put on the waitlist to join, too. I've been eyeing it for years.
1. thanks for using the link.
2. added to the notification list.
I thought you had to be a member to comment, but now I see there's no such restriction. Thanks to your link, I've applied for a Meriyat card. I'm hoping to fill it up quickly and get a 5 night stay so I can go play around at the end of the year 🙂 I've always appreciated your site for its informative content, but I'm just now saying hello. Thank you!
Answer. Membership is required for message boards, but anyone can post a reply in a bulleted post.
Thanks for using the link.
Ugh. While I was thinking about it, it looks like both IHG and Marriott are gone. I thought they were gone until August? Bummer.
These offers come around often, so you'll have to wait for the next one.
Thanks for the article. I went to the Marriott Mamaw referral link and it said The page you requested has either moved or no longer exists.
If you would like to Refer a Friend, click the link to start referring. Hmmm, is Marriott already done?
Oh, right, I thought the referral link had been around for a while, but it seems to have expired.
Did bonvoy also end the offer by any chance? I'm asking because the link doesn't work.
Yes. It appears to be closed.
I've been using it for my credit cards. I guess I'll have to wait for the next offer. And how do I sign up?
Membership is a one-day, 24-hour, limited-time event that happens once every 1-2 years.
If you'd like, I'll email you a reminder when the announcement goes up. If you'd like to be on the email list, please let me know in the comments or email me (mamo@milemoa.com)
I'm considering the Chase IHG card right now, and I don't understand this part.
"It's a Chase-issued card, so of course it's a 5/24 check, and Chase's 24-month rule (that you have to wait 24 months from the time you get the bonus) also applies."
Are you referring to the Chase 5/24 rule and just the IHG 24 month rule, because I've been searching around and I don't think there's a Chase 24 month rule other than the 5/24.
We apologize for the long delay in responding.
Answer. The 24-month rule applies to the Chase IHG card. I should have correctly labeled it as a Chase-issued, IHG card rule, but I didn't, so I'll fix that.
