전 작년 6월에 VC과 Approval or Refund으로 140, 485 동시접수 하였습니다.
정말 너무 많은 서류와 내용을 준비해야 해서 너무 힘들었지만 (이렇게 모든 정보를 다 준비해줘야 한다면 변호사는 도대체 왜;;;;라는 생각을 많이 했어요)
그래도 체계적으로 잘 검토하고, 레터도 준비해줬어요.
전 박사 과정 중 준비, 진행하였습니다.
사회과학 분야이고, 접수 당시 9편의 퍼블리케이션과 (1저자 3편) 40개의 citations이 있었고요.
지도교수님 추천서와 제 논문을 인용한 연구자들에게 Independent 추천서 3편을 받았습니다.
인터뷰는 없었습니다.
미국에서 계속 지내실 계획이 있고, 미국 사회와 밀접하게 연관된 분야를 연구/공부하시고, 퍼블리케이션이 있으시다면,
필요에 따라 박사 과정 중에 신청하시는 것도 한 방법 같아요.
전 중간에 콤보카드가 절실한데도 깜깜 무소식이라 마음 졸였었는데,
USCIS 엠마 챗, senate, congressman 등등 이곳 저곳 연락해보는데 마모 분들 도움이 컸습니다.
