제 지인분의 따님이 한국을 7월에 방문해야 하는데,

 

현재 미국여권은 Expired 상태인것을 방금 알아냈습니다. 한국여권은 유효기관이 몇년 남아있는 상태입니다.

 

그래서 질문은 

1) 한국 여권만으로 이번 한국여행을 다녀와도 되는것인지. (이 경우에 미국입국시 한국여권으로만 입국가능한지요)

 

2) 미국 출발 -> 한국 입국시는 한국여권만 사용하여 한국입국 (미국 떠나기전 미국여권신청해놓고 출발), 한국체류중에 여권이 미국집으로 도착하면, 한국으로 우편배송하여 미국 귀국시 미국여권 사용 (미국 Return 일자는 8월말경 보고 있습니다.)

 

3) 미국 출발 -> 한국 입국시는 한국여권만 사용하여 한국입국. 한국체류중에 미 대사관에 가서 미국여권 발급(혹은 Renewal) 신청 (혹은 긴급단수여권?)

 

Q: My son is a dual citizen and his U.S. passport has already expired. Can my child use his Korean passport to enter the U.S.?

A: Per Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 22, Section 53.1, “It is unlawful for a citizen of the United States, unless excepted under 22 CFR 53.2, to enter or depart, or attempt to enter or depart, the United States, without a valid U.S. passport.” Please apply for a renewal passport as soon as possible. If you have urgent travel plans, the embassy may be able to provide you with an emergency limited validity passport. Please make an appointment, bring all necessary forms and documents, and request an emergency (generally three-month validity) passport during the interview. You will need to bring a flight itinerary to prove the urgency of your travel. Normally, emergency passports can be printed on the same day.

 

위의 세 방법중에 어느방법이 제일 적합할지요? 아니면 다른 좋은 방법이 있을까요?
