안녕하세요,

급하게 한국으로 영구 귀국해야해서 여러가지 정리하는데, 우선적으로 정리가 필요한 차량에 대해서 먼저 질문 드리려고 글을 쓰게 되었습니다.

 

차량은 올해 2월에 vehicle license가 만료가 되서 1월에 갱신 (renew) 하라고 날아왔는데, 급하게 한국으로 귀국하게 되서 일단 진행을 멈춰놓은 상태입니다.

이 경우 차량을 중고로 팔때, 그냥 갱신 없이 팔아도 될거같은데 맞는지요?

 

구글링을 해보니, 제가 사는 colorado 의 경우는

 

In most states, it is required to cancel the registration after selling a vehicle. This removes liability if the new owner has driving issues, road violations, or gets involved in accidents. 

In Colorado, you can sell a car even if the registration and plates have expired. However, you must complete the Report of Release of Liability form online.

 

라고 나오는데, registration 을 renew 하지 않은 상태면 liability 가 안잡혀있는거라 상관없지않을까? 싶어서요

혹시 관련해서 아시는분 있으시면 조언 여쭙겠습니다.
