Capital One Venture 소유한 지 거의 2년이 되어갑니다.  그 사이 Venture X 신청을 몇 번 시도 하였으나 성공하지 못 했습니다.  그런데 오늘 아래와 같이 upgrade offer email 을 받았습니다.  

Congratulations! You're eligible for a rewards upgrade.

• Your interest rate and credit limit will stay the same.
• Upgrading won't affect your credit score since you don't need to apply.
• You'll keep the same card number, payment date, and account settings.
• You'll have a new security number and expiration date.
• You can keep using your current card until your new card arrives.
• You're not eligible for promotions or bonus offers that new cardholders get.

반가웠지만, 맨 마지막 문장 (no promotions or bonus offers) 이 많이 아쉽네요.  그래도 제가 여행을 많이 다니기 때문에 이 오퍼를 받아야 하는게 맞는데, 새로 신청하여 approve 되면 받을 수 있는 70k~90K 나 되는 mile 을 포기하는게 영 서운합니다.  좋기도 하고 아쉽기도 한 마음에서 Venture X 에 관한 마모글을 훑어 보았는데, Venture X 가 좋은 카드라는 의견이 지배적인 것 같았습니다.  보너스 없어도 오퍼를 수락해야 겠지요?

마모님들의 조언을 듣고 다시 생각해 본 결과 Venture X 로의 upgrade offer 를 거절하기로 결정했습니다.  다시 한 번 조언에 대해 감사드립니다.
