저희 가족이 얼마전에 한국에서 뉴욕으로 여행을 와서 제가 저희 가족 세명의 티켓을 AA로 발권했습니다. 

저의 생각은 저의 AAdvantage number로 가족 모두의 마일을 적립할수 있다고 생각했는데 아니더군요.

여행을 끝마치고 와서 마일이 적립되길 기다렸는데 한명분 (16000마일) 만 적립되었기에 이메일로 물어봤는데 

답변이 이렇게 왔습니다.

Thank you for contacting AAdvantage® Customer Service.

We understand that you wish to earn AAdvantage miles for your family's
travel since you were the one who purchased the ticket. Nevertheless,
the intent of the AAdvantage program is to reward individuals for the
activity they engage in, regardless of who pays for the transaction. As
an example, corporations foot the bill when their employees travel for
business -- yet it's the employee who is the AAdvantage member and who
earns miles for those trips.

Please keep in mind that anyone can be an AAdvantage member and benefit
from the rewards we offer, regardless of the member's age or travel
frequency. New members may register at www.aa.com/enroll.

On the other hand, program rules do not permit us to credit a member's
account with the miles that were earned by someone else. I'm sorry to
disappoint you.

Thank you for participating in the AAdvantage program. We appreciate
your business.

그러면 한명분의 마일은 왜 적립이 되었는지...아마 제 동생이랑 저랑 이름이 비슷해서 잘못 넣은듯..

마적단 분들에게 여쭙고 싶은 제 질문은, 만약 저희 가족이 AAdvantage number를 받아서 적립을 하면,

그 마일을 저한테 트랜스퍼가 가능할까요? AA홈페이지에 들어가도 그냥 마일을 넘기는것이 아니라

구입한 마일만 넘길수 있는걸로 나옵니다.
