최근에 한 설문조사에서 사람들은 본보이 프로그램을 SPG/기존 매리엇 보다 더 좋아하는걸로 조사되었다고....

 

"In a recent survey of Bonvoy members by an eight to one margin. Respondent said, they preferred the new Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program over either Marriott Rewards or SPG."

Goodwill bonus라 적고 포인트는 빼간다... 무슨 이유인지는 몰라도 막상 당하면 정말 황당하겠네요. 최소 point adjustment 라고 하고 빼가든지... ㅉㅉ..

Marriott Got Bonvoyed by the EU: $123 Million Fine Does Nothing to Protect Meaningful Data

Now the UK, acting on an EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) case, has proposed a fine of $123 million (about half) against Marriott for their unprecedented data breach in which 383 million records were hacked including 5.25 million unencrypted passport numbers and 8.6 million payment cards (most expired).

Marriott Got Bonvoyed 소식 2.

지난 3월에 (매리엇 대상으로 페티션 진행 중) 플랫 이상 멤버: 리조트 Fee 면제를 베네핏으로 포함 요청  진행 중이라는 소식을 전했었는데요.

오늘 7/9/19에 Washington, DC Attorney General Karl Racine이 리조트 피로 고객을 기만한다는 이유로 매리엇이 고소했다고 하네요

 

In a surprise announcement today, the Washington, DC Attorney General Karl Racine has sued Marriott for deceptive resort fees claiming that Marriott has violated consumer protection laws.

 

On Twitter, Racine posted several tweets describing his action:

3/15:

loyaltylobby에 따르면 2018년 4월부터 지금까지 약 110 밀리언 건의 complaint case 오픈상태라는 former employee의 제보가 있었다고 하네요.

그리고 대화 말미에는 "Don’t blame the person on the phone. They are trying" 라는 말을 남겼습니다.

아시다시피 상담원이 무슨 죄가 있겠습니까.. 제대로 교육을 시키지 못한 매리엇이 주범이지요.

매리엇과 통화를 하다보면 속에 열불이 나는 경우가 흔하지만,, 그래도 상담원에게 욕설, 폭언, 막무가내 우기기 등은 자제 해주시는게 좋겠습니다.

 

Here’s the former employee’s point of view:

I worked for Marriott for a little over 3 years. Marriott had a motto “Take care of the associates and they will take care of the guests.” In April of 2018 Marriott rolled out their new “Service Delivery Module.” At the same time, they stopped taking care of the associates.

.” Cases are “supposed” to be resolved in 3 to 5 days. When I left, there were cases that were 4 months old untouched. The cases started in April. I’ve been told that since then, they have reached 110 million cases...

Don’t blame the person on the phone. They are trying.
