레딧 유저 한명이 전화상담원한테 흘려들은 얘긴데요 체이스가 최근 비즈카드 신청이 급증하는걸 파악하고 additional identity verification을 별도의 부서에서 시작했다 합니다. 몇명이 최근에 새로 연 CIP 같은 카드에 시티 비즈 AA 카드마냥 fraud alert도 계속 걸린다고도 하고요. 왜 급증하는지는 제가 몇번 슬쩍 적어드렸었구요. 그래서 하루이틀이면 방어받던게 열흘이 넘어가는 경우도 나오기 시작하고 주소 생일 이런거 재차 물어본답니다. 아직 business verification 단계까지는 안나온 걸로 파악되지만 까칠해지고 쪼여오는 느낌이 연말부터 왔어요. 마모님이 올려주신 여전히 환상의 대문글에도 써주셨지만 아직 business justification까지는 아니라도 최소한 identity verification 정도는 자신있게 하실 수 있으시면 좋겠습니다 (예를 들어 business를 하고 있는 주소의 utility bill 정도요).

Called Chase after yet another new card got fraud-alerted (if only replying 'yes' to those texts actually worked for me). While I was getting everything sorted, the CSR mentioned off-hand that this account was being reviewed by "another team".

When I asked, he said that Chase had been getting a lot of business applications lately, and some are being selected for additional identity verification to "make sure those people actually applied for the cards". So he pulled up that team's case and asked for a previous address on (P2's) credit file, DOB + current age, etc. All I was thinking was uh...fraud might not be the reason for all the business apps there, Chase.
