1. 11/3/2019 부터 EWR 공항 서비스 중단

The first is that the airline will be leaving Newark Liberty International Airport effective November 3, 2019. The airline is blaming poor financial results at EWR, and they’ve determined they can more effectively serve New York through one airport.

Southwest currently flies to/from Newark from Austin, Chicago–Midway, Denver, Nashville, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix–Sky Harbor and St. Louis, however all of these routes will be ended later this fall.

 

2. 2019년 8월에 Sacramento / San Diego to 하와이 신규 취항합니다. 그리고 카우아이섬의 Lihue, 빅섬의 Hilo 에서 inter-island service 시작

The second route announcement is that they’re planning to continue to expand to Hawaii, with new service from Sacramento and San Diego to the Hawaiian Islands, which will complement their current service from Oakland and San Jose. Additionally, they’ll begin inter-island service to both Lihue, on Kauai, and Hilo, on the Island of Hawaii.

 

3. 2020년 1분기에 Houston’s Hobby Airport to 멕시코 코즈멜 공항 신규 취항 예정

Southwest will also add its fourth destination in Mexico. The intends expects to add year-round service between Houston’s Hobby Airport and Cozumel International Airport in Q1 2020, pending government approvals.
