안녕하세요. 내년 하와이 비행편을 알아보고 있는데, Rewards 북킹시, 몇가지 조건만 맞으면 cancellation fee가 무료네요 (저만 몰랐을까요?)  정보 공유 + 확인차 글 올려요. 지금까지 호텔만 잡아놓고 비행편은 코비드 사정이 좋아지면 잡아야지 했었는데, 어제 저녁에 보니 비행편도 쉽게 캔슬이 되네요.

Waiving reinstatement fees

We’re giving you more flexibility by waiving reinstatement fees for awards ticketed by December 31, 2020.

Automatic mileage reinstatement

If your trip is eligible, your miles will be automatically reinstated within 48 hours of canceling your trip online. For all other trips, contact Reservations to have your miles reinstated.

Eligible customers / trips must meet these requirements:

• Travel is on American Airlines flights only.
• The ticket was bought directly with American in the U.S. or via our U.S. website.
• Travel for any portion of the trip has not begun.
• No changes have been made to the trip since the ticket was issued.

Refunds for buying ancillary products such as seats, pre-paid bags or priority boarding will need to be requested separately.

Canceling flight awards and reinstating miles

If your trip is not eligible for automatic reinstatement of your miles, contact Reservations for help with canceling your flight award reservation and requesting mileage reinstatement.

You can request to have your AAdvantage® mileage reinstated for a wholly unused AAdvantage® award if your reservation is canceled before departure and if the ticket has not expired.

Canceling upgrade awards and reinstating miles

Contact Reservations for help with canceling your mileage upgrade award and requesting reinstatement of your miles.

You can request to have your AAdvantage® mileage reinstated for a wholly unused AAdvantage® mileage upgrade award if your reservation is canceled before departure and if the ticket has not expired.

Tickets upgraded with mileage upgrade awards retain all the original fare rules and restrictions of the original purchased fare.

Cancellations to the original ticket bought 2 or more days before departure will have up to 24 hours from the time it’s ticketed to be eligible for a full ticket refund including the reinstatement of miles and any co-payment made.

If you cancel the ticket on aa.com, you must call Reservations to request reinstatement of your miles and refunds for any co-payment made.
