저희 동네 폴리스 디파트먼트에 연휴동안 특별히 관리(?) 해주는 서비스가 있었네요.

홈페이지 가보면 다음과 같은 일을 한다고 합니다.

The vacation watch program is provided to all residents in the village. Members of the department will conduct periodic on-site checks of your residence while you are on vacation or away from your residence for an extended period of time. In the event of an emergency, we will work with the person who you designate as an emergency contact to ensure that your residence is safe and secure. A vacation watch is limited to an eight (8) week period unless authorized by the Chief of Police for an extension. Upon your return, you will receive a letter detailing our visits to your home.
