We see two strong trends; people take more time on the trail, more time to enjoy the scenery and the beautiful nature. Average time 5 days compared to 3-4 days previous year’s.
Roughly 2100 starting participants from 30 nations from all continents of the world, much wider spread of countries, for example it was 100 people from Korea, 80 from the US and 300 people from The Netherlands.

During these 10 years we have brought out more than 16.000 people to the Swedish mountains, people from all continents of the world. 20-30 different nationalities are represented here every year. We also have a mixed crowd of people from all ages taking part; the oldest has been 79 and the youngest only 1 year and 4 months.

Fjällräven Classic 2015 is held from August 7 – 14. There is a lot of interest in Fjällräven Classic and places are limited to 2000 participants who are split into eight start groups over three days. Register as soon as possible.
The registration will open October 15, 2014, 10:00.
At the end of this registration you will be asked to pay be credit card, no credits will be given. If the registration is cancelled the starting place is lost.
Please indicate which start group you would prefer to be placed in when you register. If the starting group is full you will not be able to chose it.

Registration Fee to Fjällräven Classic 2015: Adults SEK 1950, Youths (12-16 years of age) SEK 1100, Children (under 12) SEK 400.
The registration fee is non-refundable. You can sell your start number via the forum on Fjällräven’s website if you decide to withdraw.
Send in permission from your parent/guardian to classic@fjallraven.se, and show it when you check in. Fjällräven also needs to be able to contact parents/guardians when you check in.
• Bus transfer from Kiruna Airport and Kiruna Railway Station to Ripan/Högalidsskolan which is the meeting place for Fjällräven Classic. Transfer is arranged from Thursday the 8th of August.
• Bus transfer from Högalidsskolan to the start in Nikkaluokta the 7th, 8th or 9th of August.
• Transport of one waterproof bag (maximum 60 Litres) from Kiruna/Nikkaluokta to Abisko.
• Map and plastic cover for the map
• Hiking pass
• Gas, petrol or methylated spirit. The gas is Primus gas for stoves with standard screw threads.
• If you use petrol or methylated spirit you have to bring your own bottle.
• Food and bread. The food is freeze-dried meals that are prepared by adding hot water into the package.
• Safety tag – should be attached to your backpack and may be used as an aid for attracting attention in the event of an emergency.
• Fjällräven Classic Trash Bag – a nylon bag where you collect your trash during the walk.
Bus or train transport from Abisko to Kiruna is not included in the application fee.

저는 원래 내년 봄에 파타고니아 W 트레일과 피츠로이 트레일을 마치고 여름에 몽블랑 트레일 그리고 가을에 안나푸르나 트레일을 계획했었는데 몽블랑이 피엘라벤 클래식으로 바꼈네요. 내후년에 몽블랑과 베네수엘라 로라이마산과 앙헬폭포 계획입니다. 뉴질랜드 밀포드 사운드 트레일도 간절한데 언제가 될지 모르겠네요. 존뮤어트레일은 꼭 해보세요. 저는 이번 9월에 했는데 최고였습니다. 그동안 글레이시어 하이라인 트레일이 최고였는데 순위가 바꼈습니다. ^^ 아 벌추님도 등록하셨나요? 저는 8월 9일 아침출발입니다.
