Softcard 가 Google wallet에 통합된다는 소식을 얼마 전에 들었습니다.
Serve가 어찌될까 궁금하던차에 이메일이왔네요.
$2credit 준다지만 monthly credit card add money limit인 $1500은 어떻게 될지 별다른 말이 없네요. 당연히 안되겠죠?
You may have seen the recent announcement that the Softcard™ app is being discontinued. We wanted to let you know that this could affect the fees assessed to your American Express Serve Account because your Account will no longer work in Softcard. Once Softcard is discontinued, you will be charged a $1 monthly fee. You can avoid this fee by:
| • | Setting up Direct Deposit so all or part of your paycheck is added directly to your Account each month. Enroll today. |
| • | Adding $500 or more to your Account by linking your debit card or U.S. bank account. Link your Account. Or add cash for free at 27,500 locations. Learn more. | |
We recognize that this change may be an inconvenience to you, so we are issuing a $2 credit to your Account to cover any potential Monthly Fees for two months. You will see this reflected on your Account by April 15, 2015.
We assure you there are no other changes to your American Express Serve Account.
| • | You can still use your plastic Serve Card in-store or online at the millions of merchants that accept American Express® Cards worldwide. |
| • | Your balance will not be affected and you can continue to manage your Account on your phone with our American Express Serve® Mobile App1, including adding money, paying bills, viewing transactions and more. Download the app for iOS orAndroid. |
| • | You can continue to enjoy all the features and benefits of your Full Service Prepaid Account, such as free Direct Deposit, free cash withdrawals at over 24,000 MoneyPass® ATMs2 and free online bill pay. |

이것때문에 하드풀까지 감수하고 T-MO postpaid 어카운트 만들었는데 한달만에 이렇게 되네요...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

하드풀은 지금 이슬꿈님이 말해주셔서 아 나도 한번 들어갔겠구나 알았고요.
저는 아이폰 유저라서 티모빌로 갈아타면서 라인 추가하면서 $79.99 짜리 삼성 갤럭시 안드로이드폰 30개월 할부로 그었어요 ㅠㅠㅠ
또 삽질 하나 더 뜨자면, 잘 쓰고 있던 serve 카드(한달에 $2000 리밋짜리) 캔슬하고, 다시 softcard 로 싸인업해서 쓰려고 카드 오더한거 한장은 지금 날아오고 있다는..... ㅠㅠㅠ
Softcard 사용해 보겠다며, NFC들어간 아이폰 케이스 주문하고, 기다리던 중이었는데.. 참으로 슬픈 소식입니다. 이렇게 되면 Serve에 충전할 수 있는 montly limit은 하루 $500에서 -> $200불로, 한달 $3000불에서 -> $2000불로 제한되는 건가요? (아마도 그렇겠죠..)
지금과 같은 상황에서 여전히, Serve가 매력적인 스펜딩 루트로 남을지 다시 생각해 보게 되네요..ㅠ
Softcard 정말 금방 없어지는군요.
아쉽습니다.
일단 신용카드 다 지워놓으면,
나중에 Google Wallet 으로 바뀌고 나서 다시 add 하는 이벤트가 생길지 모르겠네요.
그나저나 Softcard 는 3월 말일까지만 사용 가능하다고 합니다.
제가 버라이존에서 안드로이드 폰 쓸때 softcard와 함께 아멕스 서브 열어서 하루 500불 한달 3000불 사용했습니다.
이후 티모빌로 옮기면서 폰도 아이폰으로 바꾸었는데 softcard 계정이 자동으로 취소되던군요.
그러나 아멕스 서브의 하루 및 한달 사용 제한은 똑같이 유지 되어서 자금도 아무 문제없이 쓰고 있습니다.
softcard에서 계정 해지 메일이 알아서 날아오더군요. (폰을 갈아타 후에)
제가 볼땐 일단 serve 오픈할때 softcard를 통해서 열었는지만 보는것 같습니다.
그 이후 (작년 10월 이후) 쭉 문제 없이 충전하고 사용하고 있습니다. (며칠전에도 370불 탐험가 카드로 한번에 충전하고 바로 빌페이 했으니 맞죠?!)
softcard가 구글에 넘어가서.. AMEX Server를 닫을까 고민을 했었는데요. TX에 살고있어서 그냥 남겨야 겠네요.
