Amex SPG카드가 리뉴얼돼서 연회비 $65이 청구되었더군요.

그래서, 이곳 게시판을 참고해서 SM을 보냈습니다. 연회비 면제 또는 보너스포인트를 달라고 요구했는데요.

처음 SM은 General Inquiries카데고리로 메일을 보냈더니 이렇게 답장이 왔습니다.

We understand your concern regarding your annual Membership Fee. While we appreciate your position concerning this matter, we are unable to waive the Membership Fee or issue points as we do not make an exception in this case.

그래서, 다시 SM을 Billing Statement-Fees / Finance Charges카데고리로 보냈더니 다음과 같은 답장과 함께 5000천포인트를 준다고 하네요

I understand your concern regarding the Annual Membership Fee of $65.00 applied on your Starwood Preferred Guest Card recently.
The annual fee assessed on your account supports a variety of benefits and services. For a complete list of your benefits, please visit the following address:

Additionally, the Annual Membership Fee is annually assessed on your account to cover the cost of the plastic cards and account maintenance. It is not assessed on an account on a monthly basis. Hence, we are unable to waive this fee. 
However, to compensate, I am willing to credit your account with 5,000 goodwill StarPoints. These 5,000 StarPoints will be transferred to your Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) account number within 3-5 business days.

게시판을 봐도 그렇고 저의 경험도 그렇고 답변하는 상담원에 따라 대우가 다르니 2-3번 시도하면 원하는 결과가 나오리라 생각됩니다.

저 같은 경우는 5000포인트면 자주 가는 곳의 호텔 2박정도 할 수 있어서 연회비 면제보다 좋네요.

작년엔 2000포인트만 받았거든요..
