Our records indicate the claimed item was purchased on a card account that was cancelled and

is no longer active. Because Extended Warranty benefits coverage ceased as of the date you

were no longer a Card Member, benefits are not payable. If the card account becomes active,

2018-08-16 Amex가 수리비가 얼마나 나오는지 견적서 보내달라고 이메일이 왔으나 이는 그 때 당시 확인못하고 지나감

위와 같은 과정을 거쳤습니다.

 

참고로 이번에 claim한 제품 및 가격은 Synology 1813+이며, 2014년 3월 20일에 $999.99를 지불했드랬습니다.(원래 $1024.99였는데, adorama에서 instant rebate후 $999.99) 이 마저도 참 다행이다 싶었던게, extended warranty가 커버하는 금액이 $1,000까지로 알고 있는데, 만약 $1,024.99를 페이했으면 또 어떤 결과가 나왔을 지 궁금하긴 합니다. 이론상으로는 $1,000까지 커버 받았을 것 같긴 합니다만...

 

눈썰미 있으신 분들이라면 이쯤에서 의구심이 하나 들지 않으십니까?

구입날짜가 2014년 3월 20일이고, Synology NAS warranty가 3년이라면, Amex에서 1년 더 연장해준다고해도 2018년 3월 20일에 끝났을텐데, 어떻게 커버를 받았을까요???

 

1813+가 2018년 8월 11일에 하드웨어적으로 뻗고난 후 Synology로부터 서포트 받다보니, 구입날짜와 달리 워런티가 2018년 8월 31일까지라는 걸 알았습니다.

그 전까지만해도 구입후 4년이 훌쩍 지났기에 아멕스 워런티는 생각도 안하고 있었거든요.

그래서 이렇게까지 진행되었드랬습니다.

Synology의 진단은 '버리고 새로 사'였습니다.

 

1813+전에 1812+ 사용중이였는데 마찬가지로 하드웨어적으로 뻗은 적이 있습니다.

지금은 1817+구입(이번 일을 계기로 연회비 없는 아멕스로 구입해야지 해놓고, 언젠간 캔슬할 가능성이 너무나도 높은 아멕스 플랫으로 결재함@.@) 후 데이터 정리 및 2중 3중 백업 중입니다.

안녕하세요? 제목그대로의 질문입니다.

아멕스입장에서 빼박(?)으로 Extended Warranty를 해줘야 할 일이 생겼는데,

구입했던 카드가 많이들 닫으셨던 SPG였거든요.

Extended Warranty Calim Form을 쓰기 위해 카드번호도 필요했는데, 다행히도 안버려서 잘 작성했습니다.

클레임전에 Amex Assurance Company에 전화해서도 closed되어도 괜찮다고 컨펌까지 했구요.(상담원은 사실 다른 Amex소지유무 필요성에 대해선 언급조차 안했었습니다)

 

생각보다 상당히 빨리 case가 closed 되어서 내심 큰 기대를 갖고 기다리고 있었는데,

조금 전 denail레터를 받았네요. 카드가 캔슬되어서 안된다면서 말이죠...

 

어필하려면 하라는데, 어필하기 전에 다른 분들 경험담이나 조언을 받고자 합니다.
