오늘 코스코랑 월마트 다녀 왔는데, 마스크 안 쓴 사람 꽤 보이더군요.
Mall Food Court에도 잠시 갔었는데 마스크 안 쓴 사람들이 북적북적;;;
코로나 이전 세상에 온 것 같은 느낌이 들면서 그 광경에 반가움 20%,
이 사람들 중에 정말 백신접종을 마친 사람이 얼마나 있을까 걱정 80% 였습니다.
어디 기사서 보니, 백신 맞은 사람들이 보통 조심성도 많은 성향이라서 마스크를 끼고, 백신 안맞은 사람들이 오히려 이때 마스크를 안쓴다고 하더라구요. 객관적인 데이터는 없지만 상당히 그럴듯하여 공감이 됩니다
병원에서 근무하다보니 동료들과 미국사람들의 습성에 대해 얘기하면서 마스크와 백신접종의 상관관계에 대해 토론을 할일이 많습니다.
동료들 왈, 평소에 마스크를 쓸정도의 경계와 조심성을 가진사람이라면 백신접종은 당연히 했을거라고 하더군요..그리고 접종후에도 마스크는 여전히 착용할테고요. 하지만 반대의 경우에는 마스크도 안쓰는데 백신접종을 했을리는 만무하다고요.
결론적으로 마스크 벗은 사람중에 백신접종자는 극히 드물것이다. 라고 합니다 ㅎㅎ
그래도 이민자가 아닌 미국에서 나고 자란 사람들의 얘기니 그나마 그들의 성향을 나타낸게 아닐까 싶습니다.
베가스도 몇몇 호텔들은 백신접종한 직원들은 마스크 의무화를 완화했는데, 카지노만 놓고보면 현재 베가스는 코로나이전으로 돌아간것같습니다.
아니 어쩌면 코로나 이전보다 더 북적입니다.
