[2022-12-09 Update]

해당 프로모로 받은 AA Platinum으로 다른 항공사 status match도 잘 되네요.

현재 Status match 가능한 항공사들은 TPG글에 잘 정리되어 있고요...

저는 이번에 Southwest, UA를 매칭 신청했고 조만간 하와이안도 신청할 예정입니다.

 

Southwest는 이메일로 신청하는 방식인데 하루 내에 바로 A-list로 매칭해 주었고요...

UA는 온라인 폼으로 신청했는데, 시간이 좀 걸리네요.

 

다음주에 하와이 가는데

본토->하와이는 AA로,

섬간 이동은 Southwest로,

하와이->본토는 Hawaiian airline으로 이동할 계획이라

Status match에 해당 항공사 하와이 여행기록이 필요한 Hawaiian airline은

하와이 도착해서 매칭 시도할 예정입니다.

 

무튼 이번 프로모로 받은 Status도 타항공사 status match 별 문제 없이 되는 것 같습니다.

조금 전에 American Airline에서 "Enjoy complimentary AAdvantage Platinum® status today"라는 제목으로 이메일을 받았습니다.

 

"Great news, because you are a World of Hyatt status member, you can enjoy complimentary AAdvantage® status when you register for Instant Status PassTM. With Instant Status PassTM, you get to enjoy the elevated benefits of status with our award-winning loyalty program for up to a year while you qualify for the membership year."

 

라는 내용을 담고 있었는데요...

World of Hyatt status member라서 이 오퍼를 보낸 것으로 이해했습니다.

 

AA인데 왜 Hyatt이 나오냐 하면,

Hyatt과 AA는 계정을 서로 연동해 두면, 양쪽 모두 로열티 포인트가 쌓이는 파트너쉽이 있는데요.

저는 예전에 Hyatt과 AA 계정을 연동해 두었었고, 이것 때문에 해당 오퍼를 받은게 아닌가 생각하고 있습니다.

현재 저는 Hyatt은 익스플로러리스트 등급, AA는 기본등급을 가지고 있습니다.

 

예전에는 두 계정 링크하면, Hyatt explorist와 globalist는 바로 status challenge 신청도 할 수 있었는데요...

한동안은 해당 status challenge는 없었고, 로열티 포인트 서로 쌓이는 거만 작동하다가,

이번에 Instant Status Pass 라는 이름으로 다시 status challenge가 나온 것 같습니다.

 

 

Challenge 구체적인 내용은 위와 같습니다.

신청하면 4개월간 우선 Platinum status를 주는 것으로 보이고,

4개월간 조건에 맞는 로열티 포인트를 쌓으면 상위 등급을 얻고, 다음 phase가 언락되는 식인 것으로 보입니다.

해당 글에서는 이메일로 받는 형식이 아니고,

AA 홈페이지에 로그인해서 오퍼 탭에 들어왔는지를 확인하라고 하고 있습니다.

AA 오퍼 페이지 상에는 나와 있지 않지만, 연결한 Hyatt 계정과 관련있을 거라고도 쓰여 있네요.

"The type of tier offered (IF your account is targeted) will likely depend on your current status as well as possibly the link of your AAdvantage Account to their partner World of Hyatt, although the T&C don’t mention Hyatt being associated with this particular offer."

 

AA계정과 Hyatt 계정 링크하셨던 분들은

이메일 확인해 보시거나, AA 로그인해서 오퍼 페이지에 해당 오퍼 들어왔는지 확인해 보시면 좋을 것 같습니다.

 

다음은 이메일에 있던 T&C 입니다.

• This promotion is only open to select American Airlines AAdvantage® members 
• Your complimentary AAdvantage® status will be valid within 24 hours of registering. 
• Loyalty Points accrued through travel or other partners before registration do not count toward the requirements for this promotion
• All base miles earned from flying on Loyalty Point-qualifying airlines (flights marketed by American Airlines, oneworld® airlines, JetBlue, and GOL Airlines). This includes:
  • Basic Economy tickets on American
  • All status bonuses earned when flying on American Airlines and eligible partner airlines
• Qualifying eligible flights may be purchased in any fare that earns Loyalty Points in the AAdvantage® program 
• Eligible purchases, defined as purchases, including those made by authorized users on your account, less credits, returns and adjustments, made with your Citi® / AAdvantage®, AAdvantage® Aviator® credit card, and AAdvantage® cards issued outside the U.S. that post as base miles to your AAdvantage® account between (activation date) and (campaign end date) will count toward your qualifying spend.
  • Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for your miles to post to your AAdvantage account
• Registration is required during the registration window
• Must meet Loyalty Point activity requirement every 4 months to continue with this promotion and keep status benefits
• Once you complete all 3 phases in the Instant Status PassTM you will be granted status for the next membership year immediately following the membership year in which you registered
