이번에 항공편 검색하다가 발견한 새로운 기능인데요,

 

Google Flights 에서 Price Guarantee 서비스를 일부 시작한 것 같습니다. 구글 알고리즘에 의해서 가격이 떨어질 가능성이 가장 적은 항공편에 대해 Price guaranteed 배지를 보여준다고 합니다.

 

예시로, 4월 12일-4월 16일 아틀란타 시카고 왕복편을 검색해보면, 다음과 같이 스피릿 항공편에 대해 부킹 후 가격이 떨어지면 환불해 준다는 내용입니다.

 

 

 

 

자세한 내용은 https://support.google.com/travel/answer/9430556?hl=en 에 나와있는데, 간추려보자면

Price guaranteed 배지가 붙은 항공편에 대하여 가격이 5불 이상 하락하였을 경우, 최대 500불까지 돌려주며, calendar year 마다 최대 3개의 예약까지 돌려준다고 합니다. 가격 하락 48시간 안으로 어카운트에 돈을 돌려준다고 합니다. 

 

구글 페이 앱이 없는 경우 출발일 90일 내에 구글 페이 앱을 다운받아 어카운트 설정하여 받아야 한다고 합니다.

 

 

조건은 다음과 같습니다. 

 

1. Your country/region must be set to US and your currency must be in USD to see guaranteed flights.

2. Price guarantee only applies to one-way and round-trip flights that depart from the United States.

3. You must use a US billing address and US phone number on the Book on Google page.

4. You must be signed in to your Google Account.

 

돈을 돌려받는 방법은 다음과 같습니다.

 

1. You must download the Google Pay app and set it up within 90 days of the departure of the first flight in your itinerary to claim the difference back. It will be deposited into your money in Google Pay. Learn more about the Google Pay app. 

2. You must be over 18.

3. You must set up the Google Pay app as a US user with a US mobile phone number.

4. You must sign in with the same Google Account used when booking your flight on Book on Google.

When you become a Google Pay user, you’re subject to Google Pay Terms of Service.

 

현재 가능한 항공편은 일부 스피릿 항공 (@shilph님은 안타신다고 하지만) 만 가능한것 같은데, 확대가 된다면 좋은 정책이 될 수도 있을 것 같습니다.
