Yes, I actually listened to the media concall for you peeps after dinner today! 
Reference 1 - October 23, 2013 audio conference announcing feature with TMobile CEO Legere and CMO Sievert [media-server.com] 33:24 and 36:30. The TMobile executables were asked explicitly what happens for free customers when the 200MB runs out. They responded says that for free customers, after the 200MB allotment is used, data stops. A webpage is thrown up to let you buy more at that point. For Simple Choice (paid) customers, they throttle down to 2G unlimited. But not the free customers. Credit to alabbit for bringing this up.

저는 200메가를 긴급할 때만 쓸거 같습니다. 사실 웬만한 장소에 가면 무료 wifi가 있구요. 미니 아이패드를 걸어다니면서 쓸 이유가 거의없더라구요.. 핸드폰이면 걸어다니면서 쓰겠지만. 그래서 200mb는 딱 좋은거 같아요. 무료니까.

티모빌이 전략을 완전히 바꾸는것 같네요..인터네셔날 로밍 플랜도 없애고 또 무료 데이타 까지,,,퍼주기에 나섰네요..
티모빌 네트워크 후져서 몇년전에 패널티 450불 물고 빠져 나왔는데,..다시 마음이 왔다 갔다 하네요.
ATT 컨트랙이 끝나는 이 시점에 노트3 로 업글할까 했는데 잠시 기다려 봐야겟어요..그런데 만약 ATT 뉴아이패드를 가지고 있다면 탈옥없이 티모빌 무료 데이타로 사용가능 할까요?

In order to get the 200 MB of free starter data, you need to have an active Mobile Internet account which means it includes on demand data plan for $10/month.
You: what if i bring my own tablet from another carrier, will i still have to pay the $10/month

아이패드 미니의 경우 월 플랜이 $28/24mo 가 됩니다. 실제 미니보다 좀 비싸죠.
그리고 하드풀 땡길 가능성이 좀 있다고 합니다. (이건 아직 확인 필요하지만 일단 마적단에게는 조심스러운 접근 요망됩니다. 내일 정말 하드풀 들어가는지 보고 사도 늦지 않으니까요)

액티베이션에 대해서 추가하자면,
박스 오픈 후, 셋팅메뉴에 있는 셀룰러 옵션에서 티모빌 어카운트를 등록하면 되구요.(기존 계정이 없는 사용자)
정말 기본적인 정보만 요구하기 때문에 하드풀의 여지는 없어보입니다.

ipad 구입하지 않고 월페이하는 플랜이 있거든요. ^^ 구입하고 액티베이트 하는건 당연히 크레딧이랑 상관없으니까요 ^^

저는 기존 T-mobile 가입자입니다. 어제 물건 받아서 오늘 data plan 에 가입했습니다. 요새는 이런게 인터넷으로 다 되더군요... 아이패드 설정으로 다 해결했습니다.
하드풀 걱정은 하지 않아도 될 것 같습니다. 가입시 SSN 마지막 자리만 요구합니다. 가입하면 번호를 주고 30일 유효기간의 one-time pass 를 줍니다. 이 one-time pass 에서 선택하는 것이 200MB 플랜이 있는데 원래 10불을 내야 하지만 Bill 청구시 10불을 rebate 해 주는 방식으로 운영합니다.

요약하면 기존 tmobile 유저나 기계를 먼저 full pay 한 다음에 신규로 가입하는 사람은 돈을 낼 필요가 없는데, financing 플랜으로 t-mobile 에서 구매하는 사람은 무조건 500MB 짜기 $20불 데이터 플렌에 가입해야 한답니다.
참! 꼭 ipad air 일 필요는 없고 기존 모든 ipad 가 200MB 혜택을 받을 수 있다고 하네요. 혹시 Cellular 버전 사시고 plan 가입하지 않으신 분들은 참조하세요...
