SPG Platinum Challenge 도 있군요? [3개월이내 18박 숙박 후 Platinum 승급]

이미 아시는 분이 계실지도 모르지만, 게시판 검색을 해도 안나오기에(못찾은것일수도...) 간략하게 정보올립니다.

이번에 많은 분들과 같이 얼떨결에 Hyatt, Hilton Diamond가 되버렸습니다.

혹시나해서 SPG에 매칭되냐고 물어봤고-가지도 않을거면서 말이죠-, 하루만에 답변이 왔습니다.

이하 답변입니다.

Thank you for your loyalty to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and the Starwood Preferred Guest program. While we are unable to upgrade your status level based solely on your request, I am pleased to inform you we offer an elite 'Platinum Status Challenge' promotion.

If you have not been at the SPG Platinum Preferred status level within the last five years, and have never successfully completed a Platinum Status Challenge, at any point, during the lifetime of your membership, you are eligible to participate in this promotion.

Simply stay 18 eligible nights, within a specific three-month period you select, and your account will be upgraded within eight days of your 18th eligible night. Only paid nights, booked at an eligible Starpoints-earning room rate, which posts to your SPG account, are valid toward this promotion. SPG Free Night Award and Cash & Points Award nights do not count toward this offer, nor do reservations booked through any third-party sources.

Please reply back if you would like to enroll in either our Platinum Challenges and indicate which consecutive three-month period you would like to use for these challenges. When enrolling, you may choose to start your challenge with the month prior to enrollment, the month of enrollment, or the month following enrollment. A valid email address must be on your SPG account and you will need to be opted-in to receive promotional emails from Starwood and SPG to begin, and for the duration of, your challenge period.

요는 Hyatt Diamond Trial처럼 SPG도 Platinum Status Challenge라는 프로모션이 있는데,

지난 5년간 Platinum이었거나 Platinum Status Challenge를 했으면 안됩니다.(결국 5년에 한 번씩은 Platinum Status Challenge가 가능).

3개월간 Platinum Status가 주어지며, 3개월간 18박을 하면 Platinum으로 바뀐답니다(언제까지 유효한지는 안써있지만 일년이겠죠?)

Only Paid Night만 인정(Cash & Points는 안인정).

여름같이(제 경우) 여행많이 다니는 계획이 있다면 이것도 시도해보는 것이 나쁘지 않을 듯 합니다...
