AA Miles Expired!! 나에게 이런 일이 생길 줄이야.

부계정에서 작년 4월이 마지막 액티비티니까, 올해 10월까지 유효한거 아니냐고 일단 클레임 해 보시죠.

저도 5년전에 15k 돌려받느라 한 적 있습니다. 그 때는 50k-10%back=(45k)면 한국 이코노미 왕복이었기에 ...

그나저나 AA카드로 10,000불 쓰시거나 레비뉴 왕복 끊으셔야할 거 같은데... 화이팅!

Consider a re-engagement challenge. If your miles expired in the last 5 years American will reinstate expired miles for a small $30 fee and a commitment from you to ‘re-engage’ with the American AAdvantage program by completing a challenge.

This is an unpublished program, but you can enroll by calling AAdvantage on 1-800-882-8880 and asking for ‘AAdvantage Account Service’ when you hear the voice menu.

The requirements once you’re enrolled in the challenge are….

• Subscribe to receive your AAdvantage account summary and AAdvantage promotions via email
• Earn a specific number of miles from AAdvantage partners
• Fly a specific number of round-trip flights on America or its One World partners.

You have 6 months to complete the requirements and the requirements depend on how many miles you want restored and you can choose to restore some or all of your miles depending on how much of the challenge you complete.

Here are the requirements based on the number of miles you want back:

75,001 or more miles restored (complete BOTH)

• Earn 10,000 base miles from AAdvantage partners
• Earn miles from two round-trip flights on American, British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, Japan Airlines, or Qantas

오늘 전화해서 받은 내용입니다. 너무 불친절해서 더 이상 묻지도 마라,, 이런 말투여서 그냥 끊고, 다시 전화해서 잘 물어보려고요.

비슷한데 지금은 $100 내야 하고요,,, 저는 잘 이해 안가는 부분이

첫번째 유료비행이 5000마일 이상일 경우 50,000받고, 7000마일 이상이면 75,000마일까지 받을수 있고, 두번째 유료비행이 일만 마일 이상이면 나머지를 받는다는건가요??

상담원은 제 마일이 2018년 3월에 만료됐다는데, 저는 올해 1-2월까지 다 보였는데,, 그때 다 살아있었어요.

그리고 3월은 코스토에서 패키지사서 AA로 하와이 왕복 갔다왔는데... 앙~ 이건 안 쳐주겠죠?

진짜 늘 마모님 말씀대로 마일을 빨리 쓰는게 가장 현명한거 같습니다. 

We’re delighted that you wish to re-engage in the AAdvantage® program. To get you involved again, we have designed a limited time offer. The re-engagement challenge is a set of activities created to introduce you to the program and to restore all or part of your expired miles, based on your participation.

Once you’re registered and paid the applicable registration charge, you have 6 months from your registration date to complete the requirements listed below:

1.     Subscribe to the AAdvantage eSummary™ and AAdvantage Promotions email
In conjunction with your registration, you are also subscribed to receive these email messages if you haven’t been receiving them already. These helpful subscriptions send you information on how you can earn more miles, and they provide your monthly account balance and current mileage expiration date.

2.   Complete the following mileage earning activity within six months of your registration to restore the desired amount of miles:

24 to 48 hours after your account shows you’ve completed the above requirements, we’ll send you a confirmation email stating that the applicable expired miles have been restored in your account. If you restore part of your balance, then choose to continue on and restore the rest, you’ll receive a second email once you’ve completed the additional mileage earning activities.

Expired mileage 양에 따라 요구조건이 달라지는겁니다.

1. Earn 10,000 partner base miles*

2. Earn miles for 2 round trip flights**

저는 이것에 해당되고요, 해결방법, 콜센터에서 신청할때 $100을 내야했고, 상담원이 친절하게.. 저에게 로켓마일즈로 하룻밤 자고 금방 만마일받을수있다고 설명해주던군요, 그리고 빨리 가장 싼 티켓 구매해서 날라갔다오라고 말했습니다. 로켓마일로 호텔 숙박시 좀 더 비싸지만 한번에 8000마일에서 10000일 모을수 있는 호텔들이 있긴 한더라고요. 그래서 그냥 그렇게 하려고 합니다. 그리고 온라인쇼핑으로 계속 마일 모우고 있습니다.

근데 엣다님 말씀처럼 올해 10월이 만료 아닌가요? 지난해 4월이 마지막 액티비티니까요..

이 글 도움으로 14만마일 지난달에 익스파이어 된거 $100내고 챌린지 신청 했습니다... 와이프 이름으로 된 마일이라서 신경을 못 쓰고 있다가 그만.... 그래도 돈 내고 살렸으면 $1000불 내는거였는데, $100불이면 $900불 save한거 아닌가요? 하하하.... 이제 6개월 안에 어디로 두번을 갔다 와야하는지 머리좀 굴려야겠습니다. 그리고 10,000마일 쉽게 모으려고 citi aa 개인 65,000이 있길래 신청했는데, 기다리라네요 하하하..... 방어되길 바라고 있습니다.
