델타 따라쟁이 2, United 도 AA에 이어 무료 기내 Wifi 를 도입할거라는 VFTW 발 루머 소식입니다

Kirby reports that improvements to their internet product are intended “to get the system to a high enough level of reliability and bandwidth that we can make WiFi free for our customers.”

 

일단 델타에서 기내 free wifi 가 확정되면 AA 와 유나이티드도 무료가 될것으로 보입니다.

델타 따라쟁이 AA 도 조만간 무료 기내 Wifi 를 도입할거라는 onemileatatime 발 루머 소식입니다

 

AA의 공식 발표가 없기에 아직은 루머이고요.

델타가 5월에 2주동안 다수의 국내선 대상으로 무료 와이파이 테스트를 마치고 언제 본격적으로 무료 wifi를 시작할지는 모르겠으나 AA가 델타를 앞질러 먼저 도입하지는 않을거 같다고 합니다

언제가 될진 모르겠지만 좋은 소식은 언제나 환영입니다 ㅎㅎ

5/13, 월요일부터 2주 동안 매일 랜덤으로 선택 된 55개의 국내선 비행기에서 무료 와이파이 테스트를 진행 한다고 합니다.

Customers on around 55 domestic flight segments a day will have an opportunity to surf the internet free of charge, starting May 13. The two-week pilot across all cabins on select short-, medium- and long-haul routes is Delta's first step toward realizing its vision of offering free in-flight Wi-Fi as part its leading suite of complimentary onboard entertainment options.

현재 기내 무료 inflight messaging 서비스를 제공하는 항공사는 싸웨, 델타, 알라스카 가 있습니다.

 

그런데 Delta 에서 2021 또는 2022 까지 기내 무료 Wi-Fi 를 제공 할 예정이라고 합니다.

 

Delta CEO Ed Bastian :

One initiative is rolling out high-speed Wi-Fi on its aircraft. A majority of Delta planes now have it, but it costs $16 a day for North American travel, or $599.99 for an annual pass. “Our goal is to make Wi-Fi free with high-speed quality,” Bastian said. “It will take another year or two to make that happen.”
