The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card is a feature-rich business credit card from Chase, which is an attractive choice both for frequent users of Hyatt properties and for occasional travelers.
In this posting, I first will describe five major features of this Hyatt business credit card. And then I will introduce award redemption options in South Korea.
1. Major Features
The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card is a Visa credit card and has the following major features.
1) Welcome Bonus
This card has a decent welcome bonus.
After you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening, you will earn 60,000 Hyatt points.
2) 5 Tier-Qualifying night credits toward status for every $10,000 spent
Although this card does not come with automatic qualifying night credits every year, you can earn 5 Tier-Qualifying night credits for every $10,000 spent. If you're trying to achieve Hyatt's coveted Globalist status through credit card spending (not through actual hotel stays), this business credit card is better choice than the personal version of Hyatt credit card.
3) Get 10% of your redeemed points back
This feature is especially good for high spenders. Once you spend $50,000 in a calendar year, you will get 10% of your redeemed points back for the rest of the year.
4) Up to $100 in Hyatt statement credits
Each card anniversary year, when you spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property, you will earn $50 statement credits up to two times. This feature is essentially $100 credit and will help mitigate the relatively high annual fee of $199 of this card.

2. Award Redemption Options in Korea
With the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, you earn Hyatt points for your business-related purchases.
Hyatt points are valued highly among frequent flyers, and there are currently seven Hyatt-affiliated properties where you can redeem your hard earned Hyatt points.
Seoul
- Park Hyatt Seoul, Cat 6
- Andaz Seoul Gangnam, Cat 5
- Grand Hyatt Seoul, Cat 5
- Grand Hyatt Incheon, Cat 3
- Hotel 28 Myeongdong, Cat 3 (SLH property)
Pusan
- Park Hyatt Pusan, Cat 6
Jeju
- Grand Hyatt Jeju, Cat 5
Of these 7 properties, Grand Hyatt Jeju is arguably most popular these days due to its redemption value.
Grand Hyatt Jeju is also known for spacious guest rooms, and well-equipped lounge space.
Given its popularity, I wouldn't be surprised if Hyatt pushes up the redemption category of this hotel.
