자녀 14세 생일 영주권 renewal 질문이요

제가 해석하기로는 14 생일 지난 후 16 생일 이전에 영주권 갱신인 것 같은데...

Item Number 2.g.1. I have reached my 14th birthday and am registering as required. My existing card will expire AFTER my 16th birthday. (NOTE: If you are filing this application before your 14th birthday, or more than 30 days after your 14th birthday, you must select reason “2.j.” However, if your card has expired, you must use reason “2.f.”) Select this reason if you have reached your 14th birthday within the previous 30 days, and your current card will expire after your 16th birthday. When filing Form I-90 using this reason, submit a copy of your current Permanent Resident Card. You must include the biometric services fee only with this application if filing using reason “2.g.1.” No filing fee is required. After reaching 14 years of age, a lawful permanent resident must register and submit Form I-90. Registration and fingerprinting are required within 30 days after a child reaches 14 years of age. If you did not file this application within 30 days after turning 14 years of age, you must file using reason “2.f.” (My existing card will expire in six months or has already expired). If your existing card will expire before your 16th birthday, you cannot file Form I-90 using this reason; instead, you must file using reason “2.g.2.” (I have reached my 14th birthday, and my existing card will expire before my 16th birthday). NOTE: If your card has expired, you cannot file Form I-90 using this reason. You must use reason “2.f.” (My existing card has already expired or will expire in six months).

Submit a copy of your Alien Registration Card or Permanent Resident Card. You must include the filing fee and biometric services fee with your application if using reason “2.j.”

16세 이전에 시민권을 취득하는 경우라면 굳이 영주권 갱신을 할 필요가 없는 게 되는 건가요?

제가 해석하기로는 그런데... 제가 변호사가 아니라서....

14세 생일 이후 30일 이내에 i-90파일링 하는 건 의무조항인 걸로 알고 있는데 그걸 안했을 경우에 대한 불이익은 모르겠네요. 

그리고 파일링 피는 면제되고 biometric fee만 내면 되는 것으로 알고 있는데요. 

네. 대박마님의 아랫 글을 읽어보니 파일링피는 면제네요. 근데 이미 30일이 지나서 어차피 늦었네요. 둘다 내고 갱신을 해야할 지 아니면 시민권을 해야할 지 알아봐야 겠네요.
