Uber 5/18 부터

 

Uber has announced that they’ll requiring face coverings for all passengers and drivers effective May 18, 2020. This new policy applies to all markets in which they operate, and doesn’t have an end date in place.

 

Uber Face Covering Policy:

• Face covers or masks will be mandatory for everyone riding or driving with Uber. This policy is designed to help protect the health and safety of you and your driver, and will go into effect on May 18, 2020.
• When wearing a face cover or mask, make sure it covers your face from the bridge of your nose down to your chin.

No Front-Seat Passengers

• To allow for more distance between you and your driver, we are advising riders to no longer sit in the front seat.
• This means every ride with Uber will have one less passenger seat available. For example, rides with UberX can have a maximum of 3 passengers—allowed only in the back seat.

Southwest 5/11 부터

 

Southwest Airlines announced on May 1 that it will require crew and passengers to wear face masks.  Passengers will be required to wear a mask beginning May 11.  The requirement for crew members began on May 3.

The airline encourages passengers to bring their own face mask (and hand sanitizer), but Southwest will provide one if you forget.

United 5/4 부터

United Airlines was the first major U.S. airline to require all passengers to wear face masks.  Crew members are also required to wear face masks.  The passenger requirement was implemented on May 4.

The airline encourages passengers to bring their own face mask.  But United will provide a face mask if a passenger does not have one.

All guests 12 years and older are required to wear a face covering. Parents or guardians are strongly encouraged to provide a face covering for children ages 2 to 11.

Guests should bring their own face coverings, but we will have face coverings available, as supplies allow, in the check-in lobby and boarding gates for guests who forgot their mask at home.

On May 4, Air France announced it will require passengers to wear face masks throughout their journey.  Beginning on May 11, passengers will be required to wear the face mask.  Crew members are already required to wear face masks.

The airline’s website does not say it will provide masks, so you will want to bring your own.

KLM 5/11 부터

 

On May 4, KLM announced it was implementing a requirement for passengers to wear face masks on board and at the gate.  The requirement will begin on May 11, the same day KLM resumes flights.  Flight attendants already are required to wear face masks.  The policy will be in place until at least August 31, 2020.

Passengers are required to bring their own mask.

Costco to require all members wear face masks starting Monday 5/4/2020

Costco will require all customers and employees to wear masks or other face coverings starting May 4, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to people who are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition, according to a Costco statement.

“The use of a mask or face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing,” the statement reads. “Please continue to observe rules regarding appropriate distancing while on Costco premises.”

Effective April 20, Air Canada requires all passengers to wear face masks during check-in, boarding, and in flight.  Air Canada employees are also required to wear face masks.

JetBlue 5/4 부터

 

미국에선 제일 먼저 젯 블루 항공에서 5/4/2020 부터 기내 마스크 착용 의무화 실시합니다.

 

As JetBlue’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Joanna Geraghty, described this:

“Wearing a face covering isn’t about protecting yourself it’s about protecting those around you. This is the new flying etiquette. Onboard, cabin air is well circulated and cleaned through filters every few minutes but this is a shared space where we have to be considerate of others. We are also asking our customers to follow these CDC guidelines in the airport as well.”

 

AA 에서는 탑승객들에게 마스크와 손세정제를 제공은 하지만 마스크 착용을 의무화 시키지는 않았는데 다른 항공사들과 함께 조만간 착용 의무화로 바꿀지 두고 봐야겠습니다.
