오늘부터 아플 카드 연회비도 $695로 인상되고 (신규 가입자- 7/1/2021 부터 시행) (기존 가입자- 2022년 1월부터) 

아래 새 배네핏들도 추가 되었네요.

• $240 digital entertainment credit — $20 monthly statement credit on eligible purchases or subscriptions with Peacock, Audible, SiriusXM, and The New York Times
• $300 Equinox credit — $25 monthly statement credit on purchases of select Equinox Fitness Club monthly memberships or a digital subscription to Equinox+
• $200 hotel credit — annual statement credit valid for prepaid bookings at Fine Hotels & Resorts or The Hotel Collection properties made through American Express travel
• $179 CLEAR credit — annual statement credit for a CLEAR membership, offering expedited security screening at major airports and stadiums across the United States
• Global Dining Access by Resy — access to the new Global Dining Access program by Resy, giving access to premium events and other perks, like priority notify and VIP status

• $695 annual fee (up from $550) [New annual fee begins July for new cardholders and at renewal in 2022 for existing cardholders]
• Centurion Lounge Access is free only for cardholder (previously free for cardholder plus 2 guests).  New: $50 fee per guest.  Cardmembers who spend at least $75,000 per year on the card will continue to receive complimentary lounge access for two guests.  [This new policy begins February 1, 2023.]
• Repeating credits:
  • $200 Airline Fee Credit to be eliminated [discontinued benefit]
  • $200 in Uber / Uber Eats Credits: $15 per month ($35 in December) of Uber Cash which is lost if not spent within the month. [continued benefit]
  • $100 in Saks Fifth Avenue Credits: Up to $50 in credits each year from January through June; and another $50 July through December. [continued benefit]
  • $179 CLEAR credit: Up to $179 per year of CLEAR charges reimbursed. [new benefit – may begin July 2021]
    Note: I originally guessed that the CLEAR credit would be limited to $100, but a recent report suggests that it will be $179.
  • $300 Equinox credit: $25 per month. Can be used towards $39.99 monthly fee for Equinox+  fitness app (previously named Variis by Equinox). [new benefit – may begin July 2021]
  • $240 Entertainment credit: $20 per month.  Can be used for magazine/news subscriptions, video streaming services and audio/music streaming services. [new benefit – may begin July 2021]
  • $200 credit for prepaid hotel bookings [new benefit – may begin July 2021]
    Note: One recent report suggests that this is a generic travel credit.  I think that’s unlikely, but I could imagine that they would offer the credit for other types of travel booked through Amex rather than limiting it to prepaid hotels.
• One-time or infrequent credits:
  • $100 Resy credit: No details known. [new benefit – may begin July 2021]
  • $100 Global Entry fee reimbursement: Get reimbursed once every 5 years. [TSA-Precheck enrollment no longer reimbursed]

More information on the Amex personal plat changes, a chat rep listed out the following details that will start on July 1:

• $179 Clear credit
• $200 Travel Credit
• $300 Equinox credit
• Digital entertainment credit (seems to be in line with the $240 being reported by others)
• Global Dining Access by Resy
• Premium Private Jet Program
• The Global Lounge Collection
• 5x MR on Air and prepaid hotels (up to $500,000 per calendar year)

조금 더 상세한 디테일이 DoC 글타래 댓글에 달렸는데요. 

 

개인 아멕스 플랫 신규 가입자는 2021년 7월부터 / 기존 가입자는 2022년 1월부터 연회비가 $695로 인상과 더불어 추가될 베네핏 내용이 담겨져있습니다. 

당장 눈에 띄는건 Priority 라운지 이용에 제한이 생기고 $240의 entertainment가 monthly로 지급되는게 추가된다는 내용이네요 

이 역시 아직까지는 루머 단계의 소식입니다. 

"Work4Amex" added some comments on the DoC page:

The initial comment:

Can confirm through my Intel that the Personal Platinum AF is planned to increase to $695 for new card holders starting July, existing card holders fee increase will come into effect Jan 2022 .

There are other planned changes, keep in mind that it is all subject to change. Many of these changes should start July 2021

• The 2 free Priority Guest passes will now be free only if you have $75,000 spend in a calendar year with the platinum.
• $300 equinox credit
• $240 entertainment credit
• $200 credit for prepaid hotel bookings
• $100 temp Resy credit
• Everything else should stay the same

And in further comments:

• Annual CLEAR membership will replace TSA Precheck, but Global Entry seems like it’ll stay
• The $300 equinox credit can also be used towards the Equinox+ app subscription which is a $40/mo subscription, still not worth it imo since you’re paying a net $15 per month for something you prob don’t even need
• Entertainment credit is broken up monthly and can be used for magazine/news subscriptions, video streaming services and audio/music streaming services.

얼마전에 아멕스에서 비즈니스 플랫 카드 연회비 인상관련 설문조사를 한다는 소식이 있었는데요. 

American Express Sends Out Business Platinum Charges Survey ($695 Annual Fee, $1,000 In Credits & MR Cash Out Option) - Doctor Of Credit

 

이번에는 온갖 소문의 진앙지인 플톡에서 개인 Amex Platinum 카드의 연회비 인상 루머가 논의되고 있습니다. 

 

신규 가입자는 2021년 7월부터 / 기존 가입자는 2022년 1월부터 

현재 아플 연회비 $550 -> $695로 인상되거나 또는 $745 / $795까지도 인상 될 수 있다는 내용이네요.

연회비 인상과 함께 아플 카드를 여행 -> 실생활용에 맞는 베네핏들을 포함 시킬지도 모른다고 합니다. 

 

신빙성있는 정보인지 확인되지 않았기 때문에 절대적 루머로 일단 참고만 하시고 두고 보시고 루머 하나에 너무 흔들리지는 않으셨으면 좋겠습니다. 

 

그냥 저의 괜한 우려일지도 모르겠지만 작년 가을에 아플 10만오퍼부터 시작해서 요즘 너무한다 싶을 정도로 MR을 퍼주고 있는 아멕스인데요,

지난 글에도 한번 언급했었지만 마일게임은 포인트 적립부터 쓰는거까지 모든게 타이밍인거 같습니다. 너도나도 마일 포인트 부자인 시대에 모으기만 하는거 보다는 쓸 수 있을때 바로바로 털어버리는게 좋을거 같다는 생각도 드네요.
