IHG와 매리엇에 이어 이번엔 하얏이네요 ㅠ 

하얏이 Property owner회사로부터 임대료 연체로 인해 파이널 노티스를 받은 상태이고 payment 납부를 거부했다고 합니다. 아직 협상중이긴 하나 타결되지 않으면 4/8/2021 날짜로 미국내 하얏 플레이스 22개 호텔이 소네스타로 변경될 예정이라고 합니다. 아쉽네요 ㅠ

 

The hotel chain and property owner are in discussions over changes to the management agreement, but if no agreement is reached the following hotels will be reflagged as Sonesta properties:

앞서 전해드린 소식대로 122개의 호텔이 매리엇을 떠나는게 확정되었습니다. 그 중에 98개는 소네스타로 transfer되고 24개는 팔릴거라고 하네요, 좋아보이는 호텔도 꽤 보이는데 아쉽네요 ㅠ

The hotels sold will be:

• 8 TownePlace Suites
• 13 Courtyards
• 3 Residence Inns

It is unclear, but it appears that the 24 hotels to be sold will remain as Marriott Hotels, with the other 98 transferred to Sonesta.

아래 IHG 호텔과 유사한 상황이 이번에는 매리엇 호텔에 찾아왔네요.

payment 연체로 인해 조만간 122개의 매리엇 호텔이 Sonesta 호텔로 rebrand 될지도 모른다고 합니다.

매니지먼트 회사에서 매리엇에게 발송된 파이널 노티스 날짜로 부터 10일 안에 $11밀리언 체크를 보내야한다고 하는데 매리엇에서 그렇게 하지 않을 가능성이 높다고 하네요.

IHG 호텔 브랜드 좋아 하시는 분들께는 안 좋은 소식이네요.

 

지난 7, 8월에 해당하는 임대료와 minimum return을 지불하지 못하고 최종 due date이었던 8/24을 넘기게 되어

아래 IHG 호텔 103개가 11/30부터 Sonesta으로 운영권이 넘어가게 되었다고 합니다.

11/30 전에 예약을 걸어 놓으신 분들은 IHG에 바로 연락해보시는게 좋겠습니다
