Ski Dubai Camp Outs: A tent night in Ski Dubai

DUBAI // With the mercury rising outside, Ski Dubai has came up with a novel way to beat the heat – by offering visitors an overnight stay in its -4°C conditions.

Mall of the Emirates, where the ski slope is located, says its latest offering,Ski Dubai Camp Outs, will be available every Friday night from July 29.

Campers will receive after-hours access to the ski resort and all of the snow park facilities. They will also be treated to breakfast in the on-site St Moritz Café.

“We are extremely excited to launch the first-of-its kind Ski Dubai Camp Outs and to extend the variety of attractions at the resort for our guests to enjoy," said Sherif Hashem, senior marketing manager at Ski Dubai. “We currently offer residents rates throughout the year and we feel the new Ski Dubai Camp Outs will provide another experience for residents by giving them access to the ski resort in a way that has not previously ever been available."

On arrival, guests will be provided with a set of waterproof gloves, jackets and beanie hats, as well as refreshments. They will then be shown to their two-man tent, which will be set up with sleeping bags and a thermal mattress.

The experience costs Dh750 per person and up to 30 people can be accommodated each Friday night.

Arabian families 들중 부자간 혹은 모녀간 경험 삼아 (scorching sun 의 고마움을 되새김질해보기 위해?!) 해볼수도 있겠지만,  가격이 쫌 세네요. 텐트당 DH750 ($205) 이 아니라 두당이랍니다. 컥.  그럼 텐트당 약 $400 이니, 두바이 여름시즌 호텔 가격대를 생각하면 거의 리츠칼튼급(!) 텐트 되겠슴다.  -.,-
